Loved it! Used it and replaced my Kick2, which I loved, but love BW more!

I like how you mixed the "click" into the sign via phase to maintain phase coherence. Something Kick2 does not do, but Chop Suey does. These are the details right?

After my enthusiasm, I have to back off a bit. It is just too hard to tune the kick and amplitude through it's cycle within the Grid. Yes, if you get it right, it is tempo sync'd, but it's too tedious. Also note, the sine coming out of The Grid does not start at zero and go up. So if you want that, you have to phase adjust it.

I went back and tried again, phew, what a PITA. After all the calculations of BPM to number of grid lines (and finding out that percent is conveniently 10% / octave) I find that even with the WT osc the attack starts at anywhere from 0 to 2 ms. Too much variation! The MSEG "pitch" envelope is causing this timing issue. I have to give up on Kick 2 in BW. Perhaps that video should include these caveats. I am always enjoying your videos, thanks so much!

Ok, improvement, I had to disable "smoothing". It sounds great now. Kick2 has better interface for tuning. But access to BW Grid allows for all many more possibilities. I'm going grid. Everything I learn can be leveraged. The investment is always worth it! I found other places where I used MSEGs as envelopes and did not disable smoothing. Much tighter basslines now too. Thanks for reading.
