I wonder what Yamada gets from her father exactly? Besides being tall of course cause I forget these two are in middle school half the time

You can't slow down, have to be caught up before the movie drops!

In episode 2 of season 2, Yamada was originally was going describe her father noting "He's kind of like...", but we never get to hear what Yamada says. Instead Ichikawa assumes that meant that Yamada's dad is just like her (being happy, talkative, and overall extroverted). Based on what we know now, it's more likely that Yamada meant that her dad is more like Ichikawa in being shy, socially awkward and reserved. We also got hints of Yamada's dad being a gamer in season 1, as Yamada mentioned that her house had a bunch of game consoles from her dad.

The "conversation flowchart" Ichikawa has written on episode 6 has a few more details in the manga (mostly due to the anime sheet actually covering it up with his hand). It notes that if Ichikawa needed to talk about manga, he was going to talk about Tokyo Ghoul and JJK lol. Along with Apex Legends, it was also mentioned in the manga fairly early on that Ichikawa also plays Fate/Grand Order lol.

Peak In My Heart strikes again with 4 episodes!!! I got a lot to say this time, god. This is gonna be very long, I apologize, but let's go! First, episode 3 is super important for Ichikawa. Thanks to his push to tell the truth to Yamada's Mom before he leaves and thanks to his convo with his sister, Ichikawa starts to actually push himself to get what he wants instead of running away all the time. He tells Yamada to not give the boys chocolate, he gets Yamada chocolate and tells her he lied when he said he doesn't like sweet stuff which in turn helps Yamada give him the muffin. He actually asks Yamada to go to the movie with him, and he is determined to do the speech no matter what!! Peak man. Not much to say about episode 4, but Ichikawa basically subconsciously knows Yamada likes him after it, he's just unable to admit it yet without a big obvious PUSH like he gets in episode 6. The whole valentines is just peak sweetness, not having much is not indictive of how peak of an episode it still is. Another date-o episode!!! Ichikawa telling Yamada how much he wants to know about this bigger world he's not a part of is just so sweet and another example of Ichikawa pushing himself to get what he wants. Ichikawa's talk with Yamada's manager is great for him to get told straight up about his inferiority complex, and helped Ichikawa realize that, along with liking her, he also respects Yamada ever since he saw how much grown-up she was back when she hurt her nose. It also brings into the light of how Ichikawa feels so childish compared to all these adult and mature things Yamada is surrounded by in her work, but he wouldn't want Yamada any other way due to the respect for her it gives him. Then the big boy, episode 6. Jesus this episode what do I even say. Ichikawa's speech is just perfect. It's a message to himself, Yamada, and Senpai Pick-Up-Artist and there's not much I can say on it, just peak. Ichikawa though, finally putting his 100% all into something since he started putting himself down before his fist year, I'm so proud of him!!!! Then there's a big thing I wanna talk about; Senpai Pick-Up-Artist. The fact that they turned this seemingly 1-Dimentional obstacle for Ichikawa into a mirror of Ichikawa for him to look into and learn things about himself is just peak writing man. He mentions his respect for Yamada before turning around and straight up saying "I like you" which pushes the thoughts of them being one and the same to Ichikawa and gets him thinking about them. Which leads into Senpai Pick-Up-Artist, who knew about the both of them, and knew he had no chance, decideding to confess where Ichikawa would hear it hoping that Yamada says something to give Ichikawa that PUSH he needed to realize that Yamada liked him too, then just leaves trying to give them a moment to talk and actually confess. He was a dick, but man was he still sweet, probably because he saw some of himself in Ichikawa as well. Too bad our awkward little beans were too embarrassed to do anything but run away, but at least Ichikawa KNOWS now 100%! Sorry I said a lot. there was double the episodes, but it also included episode 6 which had a lot to talk about, and like i mentioned, I love the way they handled Senpai Pick-Up-Artist's character what a great send-off to a character we probably wont see again. Thanks for reading!!!
