Its makes me laugh is that we see that he works on elements already existing to existing example: the scene with the art teacher see the live of 18-9-2023. While it is registered on the Tech Update - 82% art 164/164 100% if the art and 100% why it works on it while it is already existing content that is supposed to be finished

Another month where The facts still remain the same! -We have not had an update in a year -The Teach update is closing in on 4 years now since it's announcement -We have no estimation date or projected deadline -Teach update was introduced as a 3 month process -They have been getting +$60k each month with nothing to show for it -oh and they have 9 people working on the Teach Update! You want him to hold your hand too or what? You’re saying it’s too hard for you to look at the one place he is for that communication? Do you know how many devs work on any actual game? The answer is more than 9. Do you know how long it takes to code a single segment for a game? The live stream shows you exactly how hard it is to do one single action. If you’re not familiar with coding then maybe you shouldn’t be all up in arms about shit you don’t know about. It can take literally hours to days just to create a single hour of in game time with all the actions you have to do in this game. The dev has to code every possible option for you to do in these new areas like if you fast forward time, talk to specific people, use specific functions, going to specific areas at morning, noon, or night. All that and more needs to be coded into a single part of the game. Not the full game, just one part. It’s fun to watch all these games get developed but maybe you should just leave the page until the new update gets out since you’re so impatient?

I've recently tried the game from Sad Crab Company and it seems there is a similar situation to Summertime. At a certain point they changed their story writer and the new one started the plot from scratch. The interesting thing is that they reworked the whole game as well and produce updates on a regular base for the new version while the old version is still playable but somehow finished. It seems they found a way to redo everything without dissapointing their community. The game itself is a little different than Summertime Saga but I still like it a lot.

If you think that by pledging larger amounts of money that you are speeding up the process of creating the Tech Update, You would be out of your mind. As we can see that at a steady pace of plus +60k each month for the past 3 years has amounted in nothing but more waiting (used to be +70k at some point). If giving more has not caused the process to speed up what so ever then all that need's to be done is to simply give less. The only reason we started getting these monthly statues update's was simply because the amounts people were pledging was in an incline as they used to get +65k some months ago which went down to below 59k and suddenly the Statues updates became a thing.. 3 years late I may add, and people fell for it.

Okay, all together now: The tech update was was estimated to take 3-4 months. The original vote was for the tech update vs another gameplay update. Per DC: "Both update choice will take roughly the same amount of time (3 to 4 months) to complete." The poll took place on December 3rd, 2020, and the results were announced on December 15th, 2020. Had the poll said "In September of 2023, we still won't even have a rough idea of a release date," I highly doubt it would have garnered many votes.

DC continues to draw characters and scenes for future updates. That is what you see in his livestreams. He didn’t just stop drawing while coders and posers catch up. If you watched any of his livestreams you can catch clues for future reference as well as talk with him about future plans.
