Loved this piece, had so much fun with the process. I even tried a slightly more detailed rendering style for the face of the character, turned out better than I expected. I find when painting complex subjects such as armour (with reflections and infinite colour variations) it's extra important to simplify your subject. At many points in the rendering process I had to remind myself to just leave things alone instead of chasing a photo realistic look for every part of the armour. Usually you'd choose to place more detail and care in focal points you expect the audience to linger on. Here for example, the face, the torso. References attached! :)

La Guardia del Templo

My God, this is BEAUTIFUL. Maybe for a future tutorial you may tell us where to find good references, with good light and dark

Strife

You really cooked on this one. I could imagine seeing this one pop out of a pack of Magic cards I just opened.
