TUTORIAL IS HERE! Thanks for your patience :)

In this month's lesson we talk about some common rendering issues I always see, as well as how you can practice to overcome them!

I hope this will improve your rendering and painting skills as a whole, this should be some advice you can take with you into many many future paintings! But of course, everyone's art style and preference differs, so feel free to adapt these concepts to your own art! You don't have to follow any advice entirely and not try anything else! :)

The files used for this video will be attached below for download!

For that, use the patreon website, not the app, go to Sam’s page, and click on the membership tab. That’s where I found it 😁

I think I, like many artists, am afraid to use hard edges where I don't quite know my anatomy as well as I should. And so when a hard edge doesn't quite look right, I reduce that weirdness by softening the area. Thank you for the tutorial Sam.

Hi ! What is the link of diScord ?

Is the Kara practice sheet available somewhere?

samdoesarts

Definitely. Could be a great way to identify which areas of the body you might be lacking knowledge in too!

Attached to this post in the PSD file, if its too large for a lot of ppl i can try to make a separate file that's smaller?

I really like the the way you teach things, yes, it's specific to how you draw/render your drawings but the general concepts are accessible enough for us to add our own spin on it / apply it to other styles too. It's very helpful, thank you.

I struggled A LOT with keeping the color skin consistent or understandable after applying the shadows and lighting, this helped me a lot to understand better how the variation of color can help with the overall perception of the piece! Thank you Sam!
