This was a very cinematic piece and a pretty ambitious one for me, using a number of different reference materials and allowing them to guide me to the final result, which again, is pretty different from what I initially imagined. The rain effect was something I kind of threw in there last minute just to add to the atmosphere and mood of the piece, and a lot of the lighting on the armour as well are done from imagination as I had a hard time finding anything resembling this exact lighting scenario. I'll attach all the original files and references below for you guys to take a look at! There's some final adjustments that I made to the painting before posting, such as liquifying and some levels/curves adjustments, but nothing too major, it would've added maybe another 15 min to the painting time.

The emotion seems so sincere, it's incredible. When I search for emotion references on the web, Google gives a lot of results. But, very few seem authentic, real. My question: how do you find the refs? pack purchased perhaps? Thank you and well done! :-)
