I have absolutely outdone myself. And I understand that saying this is not very humble, but holy quack this animation has turned out much better than I expected. To be honest, I just simply can't hide my excitement to share this masterpiece 😅So this is my first 60fps volumetric video, on top of that the result has turned out to have relatively small amount of flickering and artifacts. I've also added some baked assets so that the scene doesn't seem to empty. So the improvements this time are:

Improved rendering speed by another about 15%

Video framerate increase from 30fps to 60fps

Static baked assets.

This is more or less the standard I'd love all of my volumetric videos to have. However, I can't really guarantee that just yet as the flickering visibility is mostly dependent on the scene lighting. I noticed that bright scenes with not too many deep shadows tent to have the best results. Unfortunately, I can't promise that all videos will be rendered at 60fps but I'll gradually increase the frequency of those.

As usual 3 performance profiles are available. From most demanding to least:

See for yourself which one best suits your hardware configuration. Enjoy!Instruction:

You can navigate the scene by grabbing air and pulling with the right controller. Also, you can rotate with the stick.

Tested only on quest devices so if controllers do not work on other VR devices please do let me know and help me test the fixes as I do not own any other VR headsets.

Important: If you're using Meta Quest Link or SteamVR you'll need to enable one of those as Default OpenXR Runtime in the setting. Also, you might need to enable Unknown Sources also in the settings.
