Good Evening! Here's the next Chapter of Wildcards. Reji asked if I could start putting up files in a different format, so I've attached an epub file of the chapter too. They're not as sexy as the formatting that Royal Road has, but hopefully it's easier to read than the PDF version for those that wanted it.

Additionally, this week I'm sharing some fan art of The Dread Pirate Sylvian, by our lovely Jefferymoonworm. In other news, I wasn't sure if I would bring it up... but I started talking to a Publisher about potentially publishing Wildcards in the future. After going over it in my head and outlining the main story, I've decided to pause all other writing projects for the moment and focus on creating more of Wildcards. :) It's very exciting for me and I wanted to thank you all for your support. Another small announcement is that I'll be adding additional tiers at a higher level for those that want to be a Hero or a Villain (Wildcard). I'll also be introducing a lower tier that will have fewer benefits than the current offering.

Hope you enjoy the Chapter! I'm going to start working on the next one now. :) James

"Ran down the centre of the main street." Incomplete sentence. Also most likely centre misspelled, though I do believe that can be correct in British English.

Brian J. Nordon

Centre is British English, and you're correct. It's supposed to be He or James. I can't remember exactly which. Sorry about that one, I'll fix the RR version. Thanks for the tip.

"The smarter residents of Rayth had all rushed into the surrounding buildings and James only caught brief glances of the town around him." - More of a grammar thing, but this seems to be two unrelated sentences added together and it stood out to me. As in all things please feel free to disregard this pleb reader if I don't know what I'm talking about lol.

Brian J. Nordon

I'll never disregard, it makes sense. I'll make a note to clean that up tomorrow. :)

"All of the slavers that yelled the word, Die ," -- Space between the word and the comma

Vacivus

"to hit it's target," -- its

Vacivus

"other structures... creating" -- I believe another comma works better. Ellipses to my knowledge are generally used to show something trailing off.

Vacivus

"killing slaver  after" -- there are two spaces between slaver and after, possibly only on the epub/pdf again.

Brian J. Nordon

The smarter residents of Rayth had all rushed into the surrounding buildings for safety. As he ran, James managed to catch brief glances of the town around him. - That's the new version :)

Vacivus

"James considered the question for a moment" -- I don't think there was a question.

reji

Thanks for epub! <3 Boxes is OK, no issues with formatting found except it shows two chapters, first chapter is empty - probably cuz of double label. And I'm not sure boxes would be good for very long notifications - it depends on device/software. Current ones are fine. Tho you would probably not be as crazy as in Delve, so should be fine :)

Vacivus

"Thank you though, I would have stayed up here with this thing forever! Thanks, Shari!" -- Repeated thanks, not sure if this was intended.

Vacivus

And done. Thanks for the chapter :D

Brian J. Nordon

I need to edit this ending a bit actually, just not sure how to yet. I think this one IS a tomorrow problem

Vacivus

Sounds good, take your tithe of cultist cookies and come back fresh tomorrow.

reji

Hmm, probably he can hire him if he bet him in duel with captainship at stake? Not sure girl will approve tho. But Unique boss, perfect off tank and good for extra exp bonus cuz of Terrifying... Naw, MC will just kill him

ParoxysmDK

Thanks for the chapter. Really enjoyed it. But the cliff is brutal tho! :P

Deinos

Hi there ! Is there a reason why you don't post the chapter in patreon? I for one do not enjo epub or pdf readers.

Brian J. Nordon

I put up a poll before asking people what their preference was. The formatting of the tables is what made me think it was a bad idea to post directly into Patreon. I'll trial it a chapter to see how it works. :)

Deinos

Thanks for considering! I normally read only in patreon, since I'm using the app and it's just scrolling down, no extras needed. In any epubs/pdfs I had to read I only found downsides, depending on the extra program I used, even pictures/tables were less hustle viewed from the app/website.
