Hello love this mod more then you know. Question, is this mod not compatible with RAGE/LSPDFR? I had it installed before hand and it worked perfectly, but after installing lspdfr and I click F9 it just says ( Error: Menu not loaded )

Hello ! Thats great im glad to give this mod a go especially for the driving please. I just wanted to clarify one thing, we cannot use iron sights of weapon as of now with the viewpoint aim or I am doing something wrong ? Thanks ! Oh and another minor thing : the camera toggle button on controller doesnt seems to work with your cameras; do you think you could fix that ?

Hey, did you follow the instructions in the readme file? There are two .dll files in the scripts folder that comes with the mod, you only need one of them. If you're using ScriptHookDotNetV 3.6.0, you only need ViewPointV.dll, if you're using ScriptHookDotNetV Nightly build, you need ViewPointV-nightly.dll. make sure you dont' have both files as it will crash the script.

hey i just got this like 10 min ago i read the file and did everything correctly but when i went into game and went into menu it said on the bottom left above my map unhandled exception in script ViewpointV.input!

Sounds like you didn't put DismembermentASI.asi in to your GTA V root directory

It disables the animation of the player leaning forward when braking in vehicles, to stop the body from clipping into the view

Yes, you should be able to use the Interaction Menu with all the cameras.

so, when i first open up gta the cameras work fine. then after a bit of cycling, the viewpointv cameras just disappear and i can only use vanilla cams. not sure if its a control i press to enable/disable to the viepointv cams but it gets annoying to have to restart the game every 2 minutes just to get the viewpointv cams back. (the menu still pops up when i hit the control for it)

Sounds like the mod crashes when you switch cameras, which most likely happens due to using the wrong version(nightly instead of the regular, or the opposite). Try switching them. And just for your information, you don't have to restart the game to restart .NET scripts. You can reload them in game. Send me a message on Discord if you want me to help you

I get an error with the scrip hook v from nightly and it doesn’t work , but when i download the regular version it works until I press V multiples times and it stops working

brother, I installed it according to all the tutorials, but when I open f9 and select ViewPointV's first person mode and go back and click on the option to link the camera nothing happens, not even when I press "V" to change the options, and after I change to First person, I can no longer activate the mod using F9, I have to give the command to reset the Scripts, I thought it could be the Extended Camera Settings mod, but even after removing it it still doesn't work.

same thing happened to me. You have to make sure you have the Dismemberment ASI installed correctly and you need the nightly version of ScripthookVDotNet installed.

The "Menu Not Loaded" is a message from Menyoo, since it uses the F9 key too. Just go to scripts/ViewPointV/Controls.ini and change the menu key to something else.

hey ruslan whats up, i love the cameras! i'd just like to get it out there if i can that when i load the game up and sometimes randomly my characters aim will look weird as if the camera is too low down and you cant see where your aiming, im not sure if theres a fix for this other than cycling cameras or a bit until it readjusts, but i thought id mention it just in case.

Sounds like you're using the regular SHDNV while having latest GTA update. Regular SHDNV is no longer compatible with GTA which makes your game crash. Install the nightly build of SHDNV and use the nightly build of the mod

Hey, if you're using nightly SHDNV make sure you have ViewPointV-nightly.dll in your scripts folder, NOT ViewPointV.dll.

Love the mod and have used it for awhile but had cancelled the subscription and wanted to get it back so joined again, but is there a way that i can make the camera switch to a different camera whenever i get into a car? So like i could use chest cam but when i got into a car it would go into first person?

Awesome mod man, really cool. Quick question, when I'm in 1st person camera and try to aim with a rifle that has a scope on I cant look through the scope. Am I missing something or is it supposed to be like that?

Thank you man! For snipers, you can press CTRL to go into the scope view, but other sights like iron sights don't work at this moment, as bullets don't align when the weapon is centered. I am working on it though.

Whenever I try to startup my game, it either loads and crashes half way through, or it crashes whenever I move, I have a very good PC and I don't know what the issue is, I removed the mod from my files and the game didn't crash. The same thing happened on the last file you posted.

The mod itself is compatible with all game versions, but ScriptHookDotNet will crash the game if you are using one of the latest updates unless you use the nightly build. If you ate running an old game version, you probably have the regular SHDNV, so just use the regular version of the mod which is made to work with the regular SHDNV

it was conflicting with another script involving health and i only die when i switch cameras. Script is called "watch your death 5.0.1" is there any way you can make them compatible?

I am not sure how it conflicts with ViewPointV, but I know that it increases your health to around 5k which causes issues after saving the game (even after removing the mod). I have a solution for you though. I will soon upload a new mod that will stop the wasted screen from appearing until you press space to skip, like in GTA IV. It will also add euphoria based death animations. I will upload it this month.

First and foremost, kickass mod. I have tried to get the July 2025 version of it on both GTA V version 2699 (very old version) and the current version of GTA V and the camera and menu don't seem to work. Any solution or will we wait for an update? I am currently using version 2699.

Just one remark, in first person view inside the car, if you're playing on a keyboard, the change of direction from left to right is so sudden, the entire image is moving left and right quite fast, I tried all the setting with G-Force sensitivity but it doesn't change to much the behavior. What I noticed is that when you pull out the phone in first person view, inside the car, this sudden movement is drastically decreased which is much more drivable. Is this how it should normally be or I'm doing something wrong here? Thanks!

You are supposed to disable free look when you are driving. I noticed that many people toggle free look on and leave it like this which causes this weird movemnt from side to side. I realize how confusing and uncomfortable this is, but this is a solution to the camera snapping in the center every time. I am working on a different approach for the next update but for now, make sure you toggle free look off when you not looking around

Just press the Z key when in vehicle fp, it toggles it on and off. You can modify this key via Controls.ini

I got the mod working after a long time of tweaking. Turns out it was Dismemberment mod. I took dismemberment off and it worked. It looks amazing.

How i did it in legacy. (Didnt try enhanced) Install script hook and scripthookvnet nightly and openiv. Once installed make two folders. scripts and mods. Copy the files in update folder to mods folder. Open OpenIV. Turn on edit mode. Copy the files from the download to the gta folder. (.asi goes into the main folder / scripts goes into the script folder.) The font with the OIV can be installed using the package installer if you click tools on the tool bar. After all is installed. Run the license generator. This all worked. Note this can clash with a few mods like dismemberment wouldnt let me load after 3 hours of debugging. Do this on a clean install if possible.

Make sure you don't have Dismemberment mod installed, it's not needed since a long time ago and due to it being outdated it probably crashes the game. Anyway, send me a PM on Discord with your ScriptHookDotNet.log so I can check out the errors

Don't waste your money. Not all of us want to have, or have a discord. This dumb license generator gets in the way of what looks like a decent mod, ruining user experience. I never claimed license, I'm unsubscribing immediately.

You're right, currently Discord is required to generate the license. I understand that’s not ideal for everyone. I originally set it up this way to handle access control, but I agree it adds unnecessary friction. The good news is that the upcoming update removes the Discord requirement entirely and even lets you try the mod for free. If you’re willing to give it another shot when that’s out, I think you’ll have a much smoother experience. Either way, I appreciate you pointing this out. If you don't want to wait for the update, and would like for me to generate a license manually, without Discord, hit me up in the DMs.
