Here is the winner of the "paint my photo" in June from Martie Noll - Zion Park !! I chose it for the textures you see and the challenge of painting shadows and rocks! You know I love my rocks- but if you just follow along you will see these rocks are not complicated! Obviously take your time with this- as I state it does NOT have to be perfect- it's a challenge to paint layers of foliage for sure. I hope you enjoy it! Hi Kris I did a workshop in AZ this yr I don’t do retreats in the US because it’s way too much logistics involved and I work with a company who takes care of all that for me overseas.

Have you explored Madeline Island School of the Arts? They have campuses in Santa Fe, Tucson, Bar Harbor, Madeline Island Wisconsin, and Ansilomar (near Carmel by the Sea, CA).

Yes it’s a new granulating cooor but not necessary u can use yellow ochre or mix yellow with burnt umber ☺️

yes granulating color I was gifted it - it comes in a set- but you can just use yellow ochre

these rock mountains are amazing, I wanted to paint a photo for my son of Dungeon Canyon at Lake Powell and was having a hard time doing the rock mountains, this tutorial was really helpful. I plan to do paint this photo today at my painting session and then next, redo my Dungeon Canyon painting. You are a wonderful instructor and artist, can't wait to attend one of your workshops.
