I love this style! I see how it can be used in so many other paintings!!

Becca Peterson

I love doing these types. Zero pressure and always expressive.

Leigh

Love the smooshing!

Trudy Apple

Ellen, would it be possible to tell us the order, names, of the paints on your palette, please. Starting with Ultramarine deep....it would be helpful.

Kathy

Another awesome tutorial!

Sue Bane

I like Trudy's question as I was wondering the same thing. A further question is do you set up your palette the same each time you paint?

Ellen Crimi-Trent

it makes no sense for me to tell you since I change it up often- I do recommend you keep your blues a bit away from each other or you will dip into the same blue- LOL done this often. My order is only so I can keep them straight- so left to right is Ultra blue, burnt Sienna, then I have a mosh of cad red light , pyrrole Rubin, bright rose, magenta, prussian blue, burnt umber peacock blue then sometimes I have paynes gray or lunar black then throw in others.

I enjoy your thought process Ellen. As you paint, I like guessing where you're going next, where you'll put in the reflection, shadows, etc. There are a few little paintings I've done that I'm like it needs a background but am hesitant. I like the vellum trick though.

Janet Swisher

Loved this, can't wait to try it. Thanks Ellen as always.

Shelly
