I like to use what’s left on the palette. This is a good way to try the technique with whatever you have.

Mary MacDonald

Ellen, that was fun to watch but I don’t think I’d ever paint it. I really like your detailed flowers. I’d like to be able to do them more.

Elizabeth Gradwell

I LOVE the large flowers! I have tried it with acrylics, but never with watercolors. Beautiful and thank you!

Anne Yampanis

I bought some larger paper but I’m afraid to use it! This looks fun and I’d like to try more larger paintings!

Terri Rocheleau

Love this. Trying now. I am very intimidated by painting larger would love to try more.

Diane Dial

I love this. They do look very good together. I really picked up a lot of points on the layering part of the flowers. Cannot wait to try this out for myself. Loved the colors as well. I live in Indiana and it's VERY HOT here too. Ugh!!

Shana

Ellen, you have magic going along with your tutorials. It's contagious, as I wanna jump out of my seat and paint right afterwards. Incredible power=great responsibility. :) Yet this why your channel will surely keep succeeding. ~*Shana xoxoxo

Nicola Stelter

Great idea inspiring us with larger paintings probably helps to get more loose. Thank you for this encouragement

Grace Horton

You paint with such casual confidence, I get so inspired. Then I go to try it myself and start thinking maybe I should just go mop the floor or fold laundry instead. Please keep reminding us (me) to practice. Thank you, I love this painting.

I love this look and would really like to improve my skills with this loose style of painting. I've tried three different versions of this. The first one, I over worked and my colors got muddy. When looking at my second try, I commented to my husband that I can't seem to shape the flower correctly - like yours is like a cup or rounded. My dear husband turned my painting upside down and voila! The petals were a better shape. HAHAHAHAHA

Debra Broido

I love both and hope to try this one.❤️

no one gets anything out of the gate I have been painting since I was about 5! YES you have to keep at it!

Paula Jones

❤️❤️❤️ Yes, more big flowers please!!! And a cup of confidence 🙃
