Love pansies and this one is spectacular! Nice job Ellen, I’m looking forward to painting it.

Cheryl Amato

Beautiful! Thank you Ellen, you are such a wonderful teacher!

Gayle Malloy

My first lesson, thank you! To you begin painting on Dry Paper? I am a new watercolor artist and was taught that the paper must first be wet before applying paint; perhaps there are exceptions to this rule. Appreciate your feedback!

Carolyn McKee

I love the velvety texture. Thank you, Ellen!

Ellen Crimi-Trent

who said that? that only applies if you're doing wet on wet, otherwise I painted wet on dry then added which makes it wet on wet. Are you talking about stretching your paper? That is a whole thing entirely different where you soak your paper but this is painted on a block you NEVER need to stretch paper on blocks.

How can I learn how much water to have on the brush so Fabriano doesn’t get too saturated and buckle? ( I’m a slow learner.😊) Tried this pansy 3 times, believe it or not!

Pat Adams

My first try with this pansy was a little not perfect, but glad I tried. 🥰🙋‍♀️
