Lisa Caliouette

Thank you for this! Can’t wait to try. Will definitely use the trace cause portraits are so hard to draw.

Bonnie Grove

Argh I only had a 1" flat so that was challenging! But I loved the expressionistic flair and approach!

Lori

Thank you!!! This is awesome. I've been wanting to paint people.

Karen Wall

I’m a new Patreon subscriber. I really like your causal style and you always sound so upbeat:).

Christine Garner

I didn't think I'd like painting a person's face, but I found I enjoyed it.

Jane Minishi

Thank you for the challenge!

Ellen Crimi-Trent

did you see my email to you? did you get the email from the lady looking to buy your spot?

Patsy

Thanks, it was great fun & great instruction/demo!

Grace Horton

Wow, the X-ray tech in me will have a hard time allowing myself to paint this expressively. I tend towards anatomical correctness. But, maybe it’s just what I need to play and experiment.

Lynda Culp

This was very fun to watch. I’m a little afraid to try it !!! But, I will try to talk myself into it! Thanks Ellen! I always enjoy watching and listening to your comments!

Mary Gathercole

This was fun to do! It helped loosen me up, which I desperately need to do.. Thanks so much for this tutorial.

Carol Harris

I turned this portrait into a man with a mustache for the first day of Inktober 2025's prompt. I have never done a portrait of any kind and thank you for your encouraging tutorial so that I could have the confidence to go off script!
