Thanks for being patient with this one! It was supposed to be done earlier this month but I got PNEUMONIA which I’m still recovering from, but I managed to get this one completed. I thought this one was gonna be like 15 pages but then it kept going and going.

Finished the comic and I still want to know more! Also the kid didn't think to hit the growths first? That's the first thing I thought of, that's kinda video game 101, hit the boss in the weak point. Like it was so obvious to me that when I read the preview last time I just assumed that wasn't the answer because I assumed that he had tried it and it didn't work. XD

That's interesting. So essentially the idea is the arcade cabinets were, instead of being used for remote viewing, being used as a tech test run of remote controlling as a sort of ghostly possession turning gamers into drone users but instead of mechanical drones it's actual military being controlled into doing things, utilizing macabre and monstrous visuals to turn off the empathy of those who go through it and make it less likely someone will back out or wake up during the possession. Very nice subversion of Polybius, I'm here for it.

This seems to have been more early to mid 90s centric so it wouldn't have been quite as common then. "Hit the bright flashing weakpoints" was popularized more often in PS2 and especially the PS3 era if I recall. However I did wonder the same thing at first.

Love this so so much! One thing that i saw which bugged me a little was the page where it shows the news, and the news ticker/crawler did not “move” when the presenter talks (i.e., the word bizarre appears while the word Local is not cut off)

sorry to hear you've not been well - with you on that. My lungs are borked anyway (brittle asthma) and I got a vicious chest infection which lingered over a month and is still not 100% cleared despite treatment. I'm glad you're feeling better now. I've been eagerly awaiting the conclusion to this and I LOVE it! Slightly reminds me of "war games" in the concept <3

On a reread of this, I tried to see if the "zombies" were actually attacking the main guy. While there are a couple frames where it looks like they may be on the offense, such as the zombie eating our hero's neck, most of the frames have the zombies with their arms extended as if in horror of the situation. The zombies are dressed normally and appear to be in their rooms, foreshadowing the fact that they are normal people after all. I wonder if the "big" guys were some sort of building security guards, but regardless it's an insanely detailed comic and I love the story it tells.
