This reminds me in a way of the Irish story of the hungry grass - places where someone died during the Famine and rotted where they lay. If you step on the grass you are seized by hunger and will die yourself if you don't eat something.

You know how they're always breeding or finding new chilli peppers that are a whole 'nother level of spicy? This is that but with dread. SO CREEPY! I love comics, but this would also be such a good super short film. The sound of the dry erase marker on the glass, like damn **chef's kiss**
