Based on this! I also made a black and white version which I personally prefer but I know color performs better. Oh well!

oh we're getting a NSFW art of that Big blond guy aren't we

Liz Smith

Loooove the colors you used in this! ❤️

Kyle Rohen

I loved this story. Thank you for sharing! (And I concur, black and white was better)

Cony D.

Both versions are really good 🙂

MukiMonster

Black and white with the red words was better in my opinion. Gave a better ominous effect

dvdanno

Had that thought too lmao!

Cem Erden

Am i missing something or is this simply cute

Benny Ray

I liked the B&W one better, too. It really made the writing on the mirror the focal point.

PinkAvocado

LOVE THISSSS Also, towel-less big blond guy when?

Nyton Fullmer

I was expecting horror and somehow got an oddly sweet ending. Love it 😊

John Taylor

Omg i love this. I wonder how the black and white would look with just the yellow of the mirrors

Emily Schubert

But how it been 30 years and he still looks 20?

Sockfood1

I love both versions but black and white was great!

salmonandsoup

I love both versions, and this is a really sweet comic. I like horror with a happy ending!

AmberDextrous!

Does her last mirror say "killed...."

Tom

Me reading “killed” in that last frame O_o

Puck

Loved it!

Essie Snell

I thought it was because she killed him. And he still wipes her slate clean.

Lori L

I thought the same at first, the last mirror shot looks like it says “killed”

Liz Lynch

Me: wow what a surprisingly wholesome ending— Final mirror: BINCH U THOUGHT

Titanium

WHO DID SHE KILL!?

FayrAndFae

This made me tear up. It's beautiful.

Ari Evergreen

Yeah it made the writing really pop, and reminded me of old Twilight Zone episodes

Tanya

BINCH

Bernd B

keep up the fvcking awesome work

Samantha Winter

This was great. That last message 👌🏻

Sarah Ploof

I love both but I think I also love the black and white more 😍

Kristen Brabant

This was a surprisingly beautiful metaphor for the realities of marriage/long term commitment. Forgive and move on.

Anthony Cruz

Sounds/looks like he got killed by her. There’s no way he’d look the exact same after 30 years.

Vincent Schildman

I love the black and white version. Gives it that old silver screen thriller vibe

Alex Angelo 🎃

Does the last panel read “killed for you..”?

Mariana Funes

As someone's who's been together with their partner for 20 years I can relate. Also, I liked the black and white version better.

Melissa

That was unexpectedly wholesome. Love it!

D

Ooo, this is a great analysis!!

Reed A. Saur

I appreciate that they decided not to lose their minds and instead decided to just accept that they have weird mirrors and also flaws

Tessalations

Hubby reminds me of the dude from Ferngully

Kevin

Oh that's surprisingly sweet! I forget that horror doesn't mean it had to have a bad ending

Inb3tw33nnap5

I love this. I also like the black and white better!

LooseGoose

You know how when you flirt with someone's brother and the only solution to the awkwardness is to murder them with a hammer? So annoying when that happens!

Aymie

Wholesome, until that top word in the last panel…

lindee

"killed"

P00hPlays

I was so happy m, til I read to go back and read the mirror. Damn ya got me.

Bob Scardino

Thanks for making him an uber-hunky blond.

Elyse Guerin

Oooo didn't think about that, just thought oh maybe it's saying that but is still the present

SymDeyi

At first I thought it was wholesome and then I read the message in her mirror in the last panel. Then I thought about how is she still tending to his mirror if she really did kill him? I’m going to be thinking about this for a long time. Thanks I guess lol

Jason Capaul

Love! Love! LOVING your new horror collections Adam! Thank you!

Oleksandr Budnyk

Awesome story! Also, I love animations...And the husband is extremely hot

Marcus

What did he wipe in the last panel? Who did she kill?

Jacqueline Sookermany

Haha I’d argue the “bashing his brains in” on day one was where the wholesome left the chat 🤣

Jacqueline Sookermany

I feel like having your brand new spouse consider murdering you is maybe not something we should move on from. 🤣

Kristen Brabant

If it’s limited to considering, I’m willing to overlook it. There are many compromises that come with commitment lol

Naomi Hatchman

First page: "Mysterious mirrors arrive." Me: RUN

Beanz

That groom is the perfect 80s male lead and I thank you for that. I wasn't prepared for your animations. PERFECT use for them. And I really appreciate the writer's ending. Both in it being wholesome and questionable.

Kris Bennion

KILLED WHO ADAM? And he’s just like “lol ok” *swipe*

Daniel Hilton

That’s kinda a cute ending :’) (minus word on mirror) 😂

Studio 333

Your expression of horror is amazing. And I love when you arc the story into something the reader can internalize, and maybe even act upon.

BadgerPDX

That's not horror. That's about forgiveness. I actually quite like this story. It says a lot about relationships.

Dann Dykas

How does he look the same after 30 years!? Is he just haunting her?

Cassie

I'M GETTING MARRIED THIS YEAR DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THIS

Gabriel Zamora

i think this is great relationship advice. “communication and forgiveness is key to a long marriage” something like that

Ryujin713

Countdown to us getting nsfw art of the husband

Ryan Allen-Page

I’m getting big Kristoff from frozen vibes from the husband haha

Leina

That’s what I want to know!

Alysa Han

and that's a lesson in healthy communication!

Gina Guerin

The last slide says “killed” something! Did he kill her?? Or did she kill someone!!??

Kaolin

Did you do a nsfw pic set of the husband? :3

DrawingwithDrew

I love this story line! Also, I prefer the black and white as well 😋

Ty34er

Feels like the story is missing an ending?

Gavin Koh

Black and white is better

Lea Paula

Im curious why they keep the mirrors? 😬

Ty Cedars

NSFW alts trend better than color

Cassie

I'd just generally prefer non-haunted wedding gifts

Cecilia

The mirrors must have anti-aging properties.

Alex Johnson

This is both terrifying AND endearing

Krystle S.

What does the mirror say in the last slide???

Francisco

Whom did she kill?!

Alex Riggs

They're REALLY nice mirrors

Jester

I wonder if he would be considered an accomplice or charged with obstruction of justice, if his explanation is “a magic mirror told me”

Wild Court

Himbo mullet! Himbo mullet! Himbo mullet! Himbo mullet!

Levi Campbell

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a more succinct and accurate summation of marriage

Psy

Gimme himbo peen. We already know you're drawing it! ;P

Roxanna

I would love to see a series of thess

Jared Jäbät Scheren Izred Jed

I mean it has some horror elements. First they almost kill each other, on the last panel there's the word 'killed' on her mirror and also there's the mistery of him looking the same as before even tho 30 years have passed. So maybe she killed him and he looks young in ghost-form, who knows

Tom

Probably not. They couldn't destroy them either.

Klikael

It's her mirror. If anything, she coulda killed him. That would be why he has not aged in 30 years.

Klikael

Made me think about "REDRUM" and the scene of the mirror if it makes sense for you :) Also I thought that was cute at first. But her mirror says "killed" and he hasn't aged in 30 years. ...Oh. But the phrase couldn't be "killed her husband" because he's still young. So my take is that she lives in deep remorse and every morning the mirror makes sure she doesn't forget that, because it still has one job to do in this house.

Cobra_ss

Heartwarming at the end in a way, and nice touch with the grey n red

Kevin

Not particularly. IT is a horror story, but it ends with the main characters killing the monster. Same with stranger things (season 1 at least idk about the rest) lots of horror where the evil loses in the end

Steff

I think him. After 30 years he still looks the same

Elina Sellgren

Really nice! I kind of see the dude as possibly trans?

Lol Em

I really really enjoy your stories. You have a gift for coming out with fantastic ideas. The "what if..." valley that the old Goosebumps had. I love it.

Kerri

The red and grey is dope

Dr_Amuly

Awww this is cute! uh... maybe, lol

Melissa Hauck

Boy oh boy those of us with intrusive thoughts would be in big trouble if these were real.

Terry Brown

I like the way the story ends.

Alex

God I love your serious comics they're getting so much better ❤️

mungbean

I fucking love this

Caitlin Popodi

Oh i totally expected a different ending but i love that it was actually a gift

erica

This made me subscribe.

Maisy Williams

I know the way you are! Made me look closer at the last panel for a little hint.

Mallory Moore

I saw "killed" as the first word at the end, what does the rest say?

Joshua Tonks

Eagerly awaits hunky blond guy nudes

Ashcroft Bird

I peep that “Killed ~~~ ~~~~” on the final panel. 👀

Ricky Surillo

The black and white def gives Twilight Zone vibes

Scott Olson

I'd let him wipe my slate clean.

Goobzilla91

Anyone else think the guy looks like George Michael? ✨💜

Cassie Greeley

The black and white version is cool.

Lauren Joanna

Just add to the bottom of your invites 'no haunted gifts please' lmao

Oscar Randall

holy cow this is a really cool concept

Stathis N.

This is a very good small story. And I kind of love that it doesn’t have an “awful” ending. 🤩

Nate H

Naked Wedding Mirrors husband when?

elio

Nsfw of the husband pls 👀

Matt Rockwood

Came here to all the same question

CJ Gibbs

1. 30 years passed and he doesnt look like hes aged at all. 2. What hes wiping off her mirror at the end starts with "killed".

Steph

How is he still beefy 30 years later

Mark Warneke

I would love to see a graphic novel full of original short stories!

Zesty Conversation

Really would make my entire month if the NSFW art(should it even happen) of this beefcake revealed he was trans. There's tons of ways to show that tbh, sky's the limit with what trans men can have goin' on haha.

Zesty Conversation

Having seen so many thirsty comments I had to throw my lot in there too lol. Anyway I also really prefer most of these comics in black & white, much as I love your colouring style(I've noticed you trend towards warm colours & I like that a lot, it's really refreshing & pleasant, esp with horror as the subject). I really like the subtlety of this story & I love these characters' body language with each other. Personally I think your comic characters oughta get more fanart than I'm used to seeing. 👀

Rhonda✨

Damn, that hunk tho…

Alex S

Aww. This isn't horror. This is sweet.

Claire Kelly

Absolutely brilliant. I love the implication that others haven’t conquered the curse

Jessica T

That's love 🥺❤️

Alejandra

I love this one, makes you wonder how you would handle it

Namz

He hasn't aged and last one says "killed"

Namz

He hasn't aged and last one says "killed"

Ash Nam

When the writing appeared on the mirror that first time 😳

PockyNightmare

what's it say in the last panel?? it's driving me bonkers!

McKey McCrae

The black and white with only the red text was really nice

Janine

"Scared the hell out of her husband" "Considered bashing his brains in"

Melina García

No, last panel. He erasing hers and it says something with ‘killed’

V

Well hubby hasn't aged in 30 years... so...

V

I think it was him. He never aged.

Moisés Abdalla

I've been four months now into a harsh divorce. I've read this for the first time when we were still trying to make the relationship work, and it spoke deeply to me. I'm really sorry we couldn't at the end, but I truly believe this is some very wise advice...

Alex

but like, her thoughts are still there. So she can't be dead

SilleBodille

I'm way more into colour (actually I sometimes skip the b/w comics you do, because I can't visualize any sort of "movement" with b/w in my brain) 😅

Ol' Monster-Face

This is a really nice metaphor for intrusive thoughts! I thought it was a little reminiscent of that one short story by that Nasty Guy, but this one has a way nicer resolution

Ol' Monster-Face

Also, gotta love how everyone's saying "he hasn't aged and the last message says killed" when

Ol' Monster-Face

A) The final sequence could be happening at any time over the next thirty years, even the day after

Ol' Monster-Face

B) There's so many ways to use the word "killed" in English. It could easily be "Killed her best friend's gerbil when she was 8" or "Killed any chance of the sales department breaking their record" or sth

Cjgingerbear

Yes, but there isn't anything written on his mirror and she isn't around to wipe it clean.

Ben Law

Flirting with his brother wow damn

Ol' Monster-Face

So...she did his already. They took separate showers. Nothing in the comic says it's iron-clad that they have to be in the same room and wipe the mirrors at the same time.

Icecreamandradness

As someone with intrusive thoughts, this is my idea of a personal hell lmao
