Guys... I can't believe I'm finally done.

This was one of the most all-around demanding videos I've ever worked on. I'm happy with how it came out and I hope you enjoy it!

The dead look in your eyes as you say "I'm afraid I can't allow that, Micheal" really sells the whole video.

Great job, Cap'n!

Ami Yamato

Tremendous work! Thank you, Cap!

DesertCreosote

One of your best yet, I really enjoyed this one. Not just the VFX breakdown (which was awesome), but also the bit at the end about inspiration and storytelling. Great work, Captain.

Awesome! But at 12:14/12:15 that was a little jarring in the moment.

Amit Kalia

Love the B5 tribute!

Ian Hickson

This is a fantastic episode.

Do you have a link to the paper you cite in the video? I couldn't find a copy online, searching for the text mentioned in the video.

I can see now why this was so demanding! Totally worth the wait - glad you finally managed to get this one finished! :D

Jonnygadfly

Captain, why you kill that old lady? Not nice!

Vince Babbra

so many nifty little nuggets in this one. Acne face was my favourite! Thx cap.

Michael Aichlmayr

James Knight

OMG, I think you just keep getting better.

Duncan

Ohhh, loved it loved it loved it loved it. Well done! I also loved the Babylon 5 reference section, though I imagine that squarely 5 of your viewers are going to get that 😃. Thanks so much for another wonderful episode!

Ali

Nice subtle shout -out to Tom Scott :D

Fantastic. You really play me like a fiddle, and know your audience.

I have been so looking forward to this. Not disappointed. Very very awesome. Thankyou for the B5 reference. So happy right now :)

Great work Alan!

David Nedde

I think the animated people finally bridged the uncanny valley :)

Absolutely Nobody

Recently started up Bab5 again on Prime... Your tiny parody had me rolling. Thank you! As for the rest of the video, amazing work as always. You have now officially graduated from Video Hoax Buster into Video Myth Buster!

He did the same for me in the outro of his recent video about the VHS effect. We wanted this video to follow immediately the release of that, but slow as I am, he's already released like 2 other videos since then :P

Nice work as always!

For the last two weeks i have woken up everyday looking for the next video. Today it happened. Totally worth the wait. YOU are amazing. Greetings from Norway.

OMG, this is your best work yet, Captain. Truly wonderful in its scope and purpose and execution. The B5 reference (my favorite Sci Fi series ever) was just the cherry on top (or, y'know, in the middle). Thank you so much for your service to humankind in the never-ceasing battle against ignorance, misinformation and under-education.

John Coogan

Amazing video! I’m dying to know where the $50k went to produce these the original videos. Do you have any speculations on how he might have spent that money?

Anonymous

Definitely your best yet. Expanding your initial remit from WHAT was done to HOW it was done was great - but now you're into WHY it was done...and that's also fascinating.

Anonymous

You're number 1 on trending! :D Congrats! (and well deserved!)

Idk, the budget was included in the index of the thesis, but maybe that was just what they proposed and not what they were actually given.

*rewrote this comment several times. Still cannot find the words to convey it all. You have so much heart with your videos. Thank you.

David Bednarczuk

The "Backhole Chronicles" books were so much better than the movies...

This one popped into my feed, and I ended up binge watching like 20 videos. Thanks for reminding me why I loved doing vfx tasks when it got to that point in production. Keep up the great work.

Brian Keith Clause

This one made me feel like a kid watching Star Wars for the first time.

This video is GREAT!!!I'm SO HAPPY to support your channel!! You had to debunk my baseball video for me to find your channel which seem like an inefficient way to attract a subscriber, but I'm sticking with you especially since it turns out that you are really good.
