so apparently the reason why i never got paid from this site is because the whole time on every post, i hit "free post" and picked everyone $1 and up see stuff when that somehow is the wrong way to get paid, so this is a test where i hit "charge patrons", which is something i was told by patreon staff to select.  i am testing to see exactly who this post is viewable to, patrons, non patrons, or both.  im sorry if i fuck anything up by selecting it, but in an email by patreon i was told to select it.  i dont know if im supposed to select it on every post though, so if anyone knows, please tell me, because this site confuses me even more than tumblr.  again, sorry if anything screws up because of this.

I'm a Patreon and I can see the post, which matches the "patrons only" indicator at the top of the post. I've seen the videos all locked to the level of visibility appropriate for the pledge level, so with the addition of the 'paid post' option toggled you're probably doing things right now. It's good that you caught it now rather than later at least. :x

You have set to get paid the pledge amount per post instead of per month (most Patreon users I've seen use per month instead, it's much simpler and easier to understand and use). On per post, you get paid according to the amount patrons pledged per post multiplied by the number of posts that you hit "charge patrons" on. The intent of this system is to hit "charge patrons" on all posts that you actually post new content (aka videos) on in order to charge for the content. On per month charging, you get paid the amount all patrons pledged at the start of each month as a flat rate. Most patrons generally prefer this method since they always know exactly how much they are pledging beforehand.

thanks, you explained better than in the email, for real. i still dont know how to change it to per month, which is what i thought this site did the whole time, but ill look around more for that option.
