I love this album and this reaction, it's actually quite well timed as my copy of this and the step 2 LP (it comes as a double album from her online store) just arrived this week so I've been playing it constantly, there's so much to gain from multiple listens, as you said in the video her lyrics and production are really well thought out and the attention to detail is simply a joy, I particularly liked how the music intensified with the lyrics in Gentle Earthquakes. I don't think it's humanly possible to not get emotional when listening to this EP, feels weird to call it an EP actually. Also you may be interested in watching her 2018 performance at KEXP in which she plays Churchyard, Gentle Earthquakes, All is Soft Inside, Runaway, Forgotten Love and Queendom. It's about 28 minutes long and one of my favourite performances, whether it's for the channel or just for yourself I'd highly recommend it. She really shines in her live performances. Let me find a link for it: https://youtu.be/P_XguuxLo10 Thanks again for this honest reaction and insight into your thoughts throughout, I also watched the YouTube video and I love the edits with the lyrics, that was a lovely touch. Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful day, take care and stay safe!

It happened quiet is actually about her experience in an abusive / violent relationship. She said he had a dark view on the world and would shelter her from everyone

Churchyard is connected to the same relationship!
