I was thinking the same thing, I call for a TFJ redemption with MVs 😁

Šarūnas Kubilius

This album of hers sadly is starting to show its age a little, but the production isn't so stress inducing on her other albums. Froot to me is actually very relaxing

Really appreciate you checking out Marina, she's one of my fave artists ever - unfortunately out of all of her albums, I find myself going back to this less and less because it's so chaotic, and I've found as I've grown and matured, her sound has also matured and her more recent material is so much more in my lane. There's still that more uptempo, personality-driven stuff, especially on Electra Heart, but it's a lot more polished, defo not as anxiety-inducing as this album imo, and there's also some real beautiful moments across all her albums still that I think you'd really appreciate. Fingers crossed you continue but no pressure at all :)

Zella

I respect your decision to not react to more of Marina tbh. But I just wanted to say she never repeated this sound again and her 2nd album and beyond is what made her famous. My favorite album is Froot because it’s mature and not chaotic at the slightest. I feel like if you heard the Froot album you’d be hooked. Even if you don’t continue tho I love u and I’ll be happy to see u react to other artists

Zella

I think the reason people recommended Marina to you so much is because of her later albums. No one really listens to this one as much. I hate being that person bc I know this happened with Carly Rae Jepson 😭 but I feel like Marina could be a favorite of yours

Downhill Lullaby

As a Marina stan I honestly found your reaction so entertaining! This album is super chaotic and I think thats why so many people love it, but also why so many people would be put off from it. (I will give u my soul if that means we can get an electra heart reaction I find that album much more relatable and cleaner).

Julian

If you want to avoid the chaotic sound you should try the albums Froot and Love+Fear. They are VERY different from her first album.

Youri Giunta

i'm sure froot and love+fear are way more your test, i hope you'll do the rest of her albums anyway! take caaaare

Glen Amos

I can't sit here and say you'll love her other albums more (Love + Fear definitely feels like the one you'd enjoy the most though, if you do feel like continuing her discography). And even if you don't record reactions, I'd still suggest you give Electra Heart a listen just because it's so much more polished and has so much lyrical content. Oh, and Numb is literally my favourite by a mile so this video is a win to me.

Jade Hunter

This is my least favorite Marina album, so don’t feel bad about not loving it. Her other three albums are definitely improvements, aren’t as chaotic, and she uses her voice much better. You’ll enjoy those way more than this one

Mitsy

I genuinely think that you'll enjoy Electra Heart. I was never really able to get into the Family Jewels sound but I think that Marina definitely improves her vocals, lyrical concepts, and overall sound/production in the second record. Really been loving the content you've been putting out so far! I'm excited to see what's to come in the future. xx

Daniel Carpio

I hope you finish her discography!! i just joined Patreon cause I saw you reacted to her.

Ryan Linahan

I think you’d like Electra Heart a whole lot more than The Family Jewels

Callum Ringsy

This album is way more experimental than her later albums for sure

Michael Coppola

It pains me to see how much you seemed to hate "Oh No!" when that's my favorite song on the album. The lyrics were me to a T in high school, which is why I fell so hard for Marina as a fan then (around 2012). I still think this is my favorite album of hers because the lyrics really felt like a mirror to my brain at a formative part of my life. I wonder if you've returned to this record at all since this reaction and if any of the songs grew on you.
