In love with teenage dream being the album closer, because it also has a lot of meaning towards her fans probably. Her music is known to have that “teenage” vibe to it, and with her not being a teenager anymore, I think the line “I’m sorry that I couldn’t always be your teenage dream” is towards the fans that she isn’t that teenager we know and love anymore😭😭

Morgane

I might be completely off, but for me Lacy is herself, or more exactly the perfect version of herself she wishes to be, the whispering voice in her head who tells her she's never enough, she'll never be enough. This song is wholly haunting to me

Personally, I believe that Lacy is about Sabrina Carpenter, and no one will change my mind.

Lacy is my all time favorite. It to me is about being obsessed with the idea of being “the perfect woman” she’s everything that Olivia is not but what she wants to be so much so that she consumes her every thought and action. It kinda sounds like a creepy obsession lullaby. I love it.

Maya

And did anyone else noticed the beeping/piano sound at the end of teenage dream is the same sound at the end of hope ur ok

Ida Bergh-Smith

Oh this album was an absolute banger! I really liked that she went even more into the pop-punk/rock vibe musically and seemingly experimented a bit more with ways to perform the songs, and the song-writing is still so so good. (Also, I just learned that her father is a therapist which makes the "I am my father's daughter so maybe I could fix him" line even more funny)

teenage dream, the grudge, and making the bed are definetely my favorites. this album is incredible and her songwriting/vocal skills have improved so much! cant wait to listen to this album on repeat

Soren

Both you and Beveraggi said "This is the song!!" on making the bed (I did too on my first listen)

So idk ALL the lore myself but I saw in a comment on some yt/patreon reaction to this that apparently the baby at the end there in teenage dream is Dan’s daughter, and apparently Olivia said at some point that when things got loud and crazy in life, seeing the innocence and everything of his daughter and playing with her is what kept her grounded, and that makes that little outro hit even more 🥲

they did an IG live recently and said Dan's baby has a cameo on the album, so that makes a lot of sense

So glad I can swim because Making The Bed, Logical and The Grudge almost made me drown in my own tears. Disclaimer: The previous statement may or may not be an exaggeration.

Another connection between Vampire and Logical - Logical's "said I was too young" and Vampire's "Went for me and not her, 'cause girls your age know better."
