AJ is a very smart kid, he’s very perceptive of his surroundings :) I love how honest yet kind pop and dad Are when talking to AJ, it’s very refreshing to see adults treating children with respect :) and much respect to pop for being able to be honest about struggling with confidence but gaining it later!

Hey, I love Pop just the way he is. He just needs to dress to show that body off. He'd look great in suspenders. He's really sending AJ a mixed message here by giving in to (perceived?) body shaming.

That's true; it's definitely a mixed message. "The real world", of course, and human society, aren't often cut and dried. Perhaps it's his way of helping AJ wade into the difficulties of adulting before being dropped into the deep end at college.

I think a lot of people fail to realize children are adults in training. The more often we can communicate them honestly, I think it prepares them better for the real world. The more we can share our own stories openly, the more we can relate to one another and that makes the strongest bonds. <3

really true there, Kiddo.
