Some of my earlier videos, namely In Defense of Columbus, need some clearing up or require additional context. Let's use the power of 2020 hindsight to fix that.

Columbus aside, I preferred when your videos were nuanced, un-opinionated and you assumed your audience was educated. My fear now is that you'll follow the trendlines into being just another rant-y YouTube channel. Sure, you'll have the traffic, but will you have the value?

On the other hand, I find both your earlier videos and your current videos to have value, and as someone who didn't discover your channel until several months ago, I'm interested in hearing the bigger picture around the publication of videos I wasn't there to experience the zeitgeist firsthand.

That isn't my intention. I plan on making more videos in the same style that I have been, with the occasional deep dive into some history topic or political issue. I'd like to think that my content is just as nuanced as before, it's just that I'm more focused.

I stop by your Twitch today and heard you talk about delisting videos because they have become too much of a hassle. I watched the Columbus videos and the responses and thought they were all good. Too bad you feel the need to unlist yours.
