I'm finishing up the custom short story Bitter Rivals, which will be posted either tonight or tomorrow. Then, I'll be shifting my attention fully to finish carving out two new original short stories that I've been working on: "The Assistant Who Knew Too Much" and "Neighborhood Pool".

Cassie just wanted to build up her resume so that she could move on to bigger and better things. Taking the job as Mr. Arlen's administrative assistant was supposed to be temporary, yet she still found herself stuck after six months on the job. In an attempt to get ahead of the game, she had the brilliant idea to come in on a Sunday. Turns out, that's when Mr. Jeff Arlen, CFO has been secretly banging Heather, the office manager. When Cassie becomes privy to information she never asked for, Jeff and Heather now need to figure out how to keep their secret under wraps. Should Cassie use her knowledge to her advantage, or is she going up against dark powers she can't begin to fathom? You'll get the perspectives of both sides as the power balance shifts back and forth...and sideways.

Pam is off work for the summer. Not content to sit in the empty house all day while her husband is at work, they decide that joining the neighborhood pool would be the answer to Pam's problem. In a neighborhood mostly full of retirees, she has the whole pool to herself most times--until Jack starts showing up every time she's there. At first, she's annoyed. At first, she just wants to read her book in peace. However, once she gives Jack a chance, she realizes that he's actually very charming, very handsome, and very persuasive. Pam quickly finds that she can't wait to go to the pool everyday to see what fun new idea Jack has for them to do with their day.

Look for both of these to come very soon...
