I honestly never expected to go down this road, but after browsing around the MC Forum recently, I've realized that I owe something to the MC community.

Long story short--I used to write under the name MrGrey back in the early 2000s. Apparently, my stories were well-liked... More than I realized. I explain the author name change here: the only MrGrey account I still have access to.

Anyway, this is just bit of mystery solving for anyone interested in knowing what happened to MrGrey... Surprise: you've been reading his stories this whole time.

This revelation is beyond insane

Well thank you for your stories I have been reading them now for 15 years. I did notice there were similarities in writing/word choices but you never know if you’re taking from that style or just making an homage. I know people will ask you to continue your older projects, which you have free reign to now without people accusing you of trying to make money off of it. But with as much enjoyment as I have gotten from your work in the last 15 years I just hope you to keep writing and keep making stories you want to write. Thanks for your work Yazzers/MrGrey

I don't know if you remember but on your old forum there was a writer named Whiterabbit. Their stories were incredible. Unfortunately some of their stories were lost to time.

The Bat Mantis

Do you remember any ones that were missing? Some are on Overflowing bra I know.

benjiefrenzy

Unfortunately I don't. There are a few that were reposted on thechangingmirror.com and there's one that's still readable on the original forum.

Yazzers Stories

I'm totally down with continuing a MrGrey story! What would people want to see?

Yazzers Stories

I don't have access to any of it unfortunately. Jmichaels took over my yahoo groups for me, not sure if he kept anything else posted there. I haven't been able to contact him.

The Bat Mantis

Oh man any of them. Finishing Battle of the Bimbos would be at the top of my list or Anything with Mental Pills or the Wishing Rock really those were always my favorites. I don’t claim to speak for everyone though lol

Yazzers Stories

Remind me what I had already written with Battle of the Bimbos -- I'm trying to remember.

SomeStranger

I can now put all the stories in the same folder

Yazzers Stories

Oh wow—yeah, that was from my old Bimbo Tales site. I haven’t thought about it in so long. I’ll have to read it again to get back in that mindset and then I’ll try to pick it up. Thanks!

The plot twist. This just makes me chuckle. *insert chris Pratt open mouth surprise gif*

Wow. Mr Grey as in 'Cynthia And The Stone By Mr Grey'?! That Mr Grey?! That was one of the first stories in this genre I remember ever reading - this is so wild. Glad to hear everything is ok, and thanks for creating content for us this whole time!

Now that is one hell of a plot twist! "An Afternoon well Spent" was the first MC story I'd ever read and is still one of my favorites to this day.

Yazzers Stories

Thanks for the all the kind words, everyone. I posted on the mcstories forum about it and I've already got someone suggesting that I'm lying--which is expected and partly why I stayed quiet about it for so long. Regardless, thanks for your support and I'll keep pumping out more stories for you!

Whiterabbit, Ghosthand, Gunslinger, Tainted Sins, Changeme. Yep, there's a whole mess of influential internet authors who appeared - were beloved - but eventually vanished. It's good to know you didn't just land on your feet, but also that you became someone who's work I fell in love with all over again. Now, if only Wilson Barbers would reappear...

Yazzers Stories

Tainted Sins...wow, I haven't read him in a while. He was the inspiration for me writing the "Well Spent" stories. He also had a story called Tara's Comeuppance that was lost and I haven't been able to track it down. It had such a hot IQ reduction scene with a girl in a phone booth.

The Bat Mantis

Well screw that person. Most of those ways you could prove it on other sites are gone now. I was curious what they said just and it doesn’t have a lot of weight to it really either way glad to have you still writing.

Audipwr87

Wow I had no idea!! I’m a huge fan of your stories both during your Mr.Grey era and now!! Definitely influenced a lot of my works!

elbryan42

Huge fan, amazing to know my old fave is my new fave. New member here, but old member for years apparently. I was a paid member of your site back in the day. Your Afternoon\Evening Well Spent stories are among my favorites of all time. Still have all your stories on my hard drive. Keep up the great work! :)

AliC

Your style has changed a lot. I’d have never guessed. You are instrumental in having defined what I’m into and one of the main reasons I ever started writing MC/TF fiction myself.

Yazzers Stories

That’s flattering to hear! Yes, I’ve definitely added some new kinks over the decades, and when I go back to read my old stories, I definitely sound like someone just beginning writing. Hopefully my style has only improved! lol

abimboleb

Damn, that's why you always felt "familiar"! Thank you for all the great stories, one of the main sources of inspiration for me was the Grey stories. Not to mention your Yazzers works on your old blog! Damn! Thanks <3

StevenC

Same here. Mr. Grey is like a writing legend, one of the OGs. Finding out you're also Yazzers was a total surprise. I've been missing Yazzers' vibe, so it's awesome to see you're still at it. Your work has inspired and influenced my writing a lot.

Yazzers Stories

That's awesome to hear! It's crazy to hear yourself called a legend -- especially when I'm my biggest critic. I was just starting out with writing when I put out my original MrGrey stories and had a lot to learn about storytelling. I'm always glad to hear that those stories were a favorite for people at the time (and even now). Thanks so much for the kind words!
