Good day, Ecstatic Selfers!

I am offering up an intention for this upcoming week...Acceptance.

Acceptance is a layered and nuanced concept. It's so something we crave from social groups and society...but real acceptance is something deeper. It's even more than just accepting yourself. It is accepting everything that is happening around you...EVERYTHING.

Can you find total acceptance and surrender with whatever "is?" Can you be present to the moment and see the perfection in whatever is happening...even the difficulties?

I'd love to hear about your experience working with acceptance this week...please write in the comments below how you continue to wrangle with this idea!

Peace and blessings, Kae ❤️

Thank you, Kae for these life-giving words! I find that working on self acceptance and self affirmation is an ongoing daily assignment. I see them kind of like a reward for having survived what many of us have had to endure growing up ! We need to give ourselves the “attaboys” and “attagirls” we may not have gotten. I find the greatest challenge for me is truly accepting things as they really are; it takes so much practice!!…Thank you for that reminder! I see acceptance and surrender as two sides of the same coin. When I see the toughest acceptance challenges coming on, I try to take the time and energy to just dive as deeply as I can into my breathing! And Kae you are so right….surrender becomes the sweet, peaceful reward! My mantra: “Let it go and lighten up! “ Thanks for letting me share, and blessings to you and all who are sharing this journey… 🙏❤️❤️🙏

Acceptance - now that's a tough one. Acceptance of what's beyond our control. Acceptance of things that we are capable of changing - and the fear that often comes with that change. For myself, the struggle is learning to know the difference - and the letting go of what comes with both.

Amen to that, Jim. It’s very much the serenity prayer: give me the strength to change the things I can, the peace to accept the things I cannot, and the ability to tell the difference.
