Mother2 (Patreon)

Ness from Mother 2 (or Earthbound on the west!)

I wasn't planning to re-share this one, but many people still like it and it's not available in any other place... So here you go.

JPRG is probably my favorite genre of games, and I remember playing this one in the hot summer of 2018 in the SNES mini.

While the game looks very childish, it's not exactly what it seems. The game quickly hooked me with the Twin Peaks vibes, amazing music and wild story.

It's about 4 kids trying to save the world, but things goes crazy very quickly and it has an unexpected and deep message. The ending is something I still remember today.

Will we see Mother 3 released in the west some day? Nintendo doesn't seem very interested on this franchise beyond using them on Smash, sadly. But who knows!

So, if any of this sounds interesting to you, give it a try trough emulation or the snes mini! This game was one of the main inspirations for Undertale.
