You guys are almost at epsiode 500 that’s crazy time flies 🦅

Kevin Croft

I've always felt like the sword being next to Luffy is also to show that Law trusts him. If you saw someone as a real enemy you wouldn't leave your weapon sitting next to them unattended., even if they are injured.

Artemis

the count down to 500 begins. Are you ready for the new era?

Sanji Joestar

At 08:25 the old man there appeared at the beginning of the war They're showing various places from the people worried when the war started

Sanji Joestar

Symbolism wise, one interpretation for Law's sword I've heard of could be related to the way samurais used to stick their weapons to commemorate the dead. And Law stood his next to Luffy in hommage to Ace. I can't find sources confirming it is actually that custom, but it's a detail that always stood out to me.

JoyBoy

Strong world and movie 6! Can’t wait ❤️

Fabulous

spoiler guy you need to stop. Indicating that they are wrong is also kind of spoiler

Sanji Joestar

Please remove your comment This is just a spoiler.

ignorantWeed

I dont care for strong world. Episode 0 is what they need to watch and movie 6 is 10 times better than SW imo

Sanji Joestar

Don't worry guys They'll check them all

Fabulous

Law is my fav character outside of straw hat crew . Even then i will put him above multiple crew members not that i don’t like them

Jack Shadow

I will say that if in one city three maifa families are going on, this is not an excuse to not kill one of the mafia bosses, even if people die, because that could open the way to kill all of them, one by one,

giogio

Law leaving his unsheathed sword at Luffy's bedside as a sign of his respect and goodwill always get's me

Nicolas LeBlanc

There is a fan favourite additionnal content that you should be able to watch soon. It came out during the 6 month pause. ChocoBoshi will surely tell you.

Matthew Gilroy

Marineford War Navy Report Cards📝 The 7 Warlords📑: Mihawk - vibing Doflamingo - laughing Kuma - he was there Boa Hancock - helping us Jimbei (retired🫡) - helping us Blackbeard (retired🫡) - helping us Moria - the only one that actually tried😂 The Admirals📑: Kizaru - trolling Aokiji - vibing Akainu - the only one that actually tried😂 Navy soldiers📑: A hard fought battle for them. Got absolutely traumatised. Will definitely suffer from PTSD😂

Sanji Joestar

If you still disagree just remove your comments and come in the discord so we can discuss about it.

Jankboyelm

Wow is that what that means I always wondered why it was left unsheathed

Artemis

We have alot of content prepared but it depends on how much they actually want to check out. They probably won't see everything listed. Maybe it will be put up for vote.

Gaetan

Can we talk a second about Oda making the submarine go into a volcano area or something just to make the poor polar bear suffer from heat? Oda again an animal abuser.... Sorry I just felt nostalgiac

Drakojin

Have the mods braught up how to proceed with the next arc?

Gaetan

Marines are definitively more grey than plain bad but at the end of the day they follow orders from a facist government. Hopefully, this is just a fictionnal world... Right Anakin?

Foxfire

I really, really hope they watch this. Simply masterful execution on every level.

Sanji Joestar

Funnily enough that was added by the anime

Sonicluis

Does anyone want them to see the special with boa that starts with 3D. Because I do.

millecamps

i always thought of it as a way to show us that he use his sword as part of the medical equipment, to tell us it was used to heal him

tavuntu

DOT NOW forget the fact that Bonney was crying... and don't make any assumptions... :)

Oussama Essamadi

It's crazy to me that you guys are already starting the Post War arc. This is gonna be a touch one man, even Jimbei undermining his pain just to highlight how hard is it gonna be on Luffy when he wakes up to reality.

Oussama Essamadi

I love all the theories about who that man was at the time these episodes aired.

Oussama Essamadi

Shouldn't that be after two arcs from now? The post war + the arc after (I'm not disclosing its name to avoid spoiling).

Ty

I don’t understand why you feel the need to comment this So far we have seen Bonney do two things. Eat and cry. It is not like they will forget about who she is. Boldcast noted that Bonney was crying twice already no need to remind them. We are not supposed to be making comments based on future information please stop this.

Alex Hajir

Spot-on analysis from you guys regarding the marine ideology and the morality of characters like Garp and Sengoku. Really enjoyed it.

Ty

Faster pacing ≠ better pacing

Ariix

Ah, I actually haven't watched it myself, it's just that everybody has been saying the pacing is better. Are there issues with the pacing in the remake as well?

Ty

We talked about it a ton in the discord but my sentiment is that its not great for first time viewers unless your goal is to skip through one piece as fast as possible. Do not want to discuss too much here but feel free to join the discord if you want to discuss it.

Ariix

I see, thanks for the info! I'm in the discord but not too active, guess I should've looked there first lol

Matthew Gilroy

It's SHIT for first time viewers😂

ImZeaT

I'll do that, because I genuinely want to understand my mistakes (if there was any), but I really don't think there was any. No ill-intent, just trying to better myself if a mistake was made.

Lūthér Hölâyèãhmé

Personally I would suggest them watching it after the next three arcs. It hits more if you're deeper in the anime.

Matthew Gilroy

Since the war is over there's one final observation I'd like to make🙏🏽 Before I begin, I'd just like to clarify: This comment is NOT: 1. Biased with future knowledge 2. Focusing on things that are too specific This comment IS: 3. A reflection of Oda's writing during this saga and OP as a whole up to this point 4. My own opinion and interpretation Let us begin..🙏🏽 Carson, from previously, I disagree with your take on Oda's writing style on strength as being a guessing game for the story up to this point for the characters present at Marineford. Instead, I believe that Oda uses it as a writing style when guessing the "relative" strength between strong individuals. Because we should already know what characters represent pillars of strength.🤷🏾‍♂️ During your reactions, you were uncertain whether Luffy or other characters could take on an Admiral. This should have never been the case. The Admirals are powerhouses, no questions asked. It seemed disingenuous to, for example, have said Luffy would unlock Gear 4 to beat the 3 Admirals during episode 475🤷🏾‍♂️ During one of the best arcs so far, Sabaody, you would have seen that there are times when strength is clear and there is no ambiguity🤷🏾‍♂️ Kizaru completely destroys the Super Rookies and our crew, causing us to suffer utter defeat and get split up which still hasn't been resolved at this point. Also, Shakky says that Rayleigh is 100x stronger than the Super Rookies and clashes with Kizaru. The question of an Admiral's strength is answered here. The strength of an Admiral going all-out is also answered through Akainu, who single handedly did most of the damage to Whitebeard and his forces🤷🏾‍♂️ Even Aokiji, who Luffy and his crew lost to and was the major motivation for Luffy learning Gear 2. Once again, the Admirals are powerhouses, no questions asked.🤷🏾‍♂️ For the current Warlords at Marineford besides Moria (Mihawk, Doflamingo, Kuma, Boa Hancock) we know they are all powerhouses. All of them were laid back during this war, therefore we do not know the strength disparities between them and cannot assume that there is that much, at this point in the story, (apart from that Moria is the weakest😂) Now there are some characters who we don't know the strength of at all at this point (Gorosei, Yonko etc.), but as your point was referring to the characters during the Marineford war, I can say that this explanation of Oda's writing style of strength being a "guessing game" has not been the case, in my opinion👍🏽

Kiki Varas

There’s a One piece Movie/Ova called One Piece Fan Letter. That movie is based on some things that happen in MarineFord and things around episodes 517-523. So I recommend to only check that out after watching episode 523. Watching it before might give away some small spoilers. So just make sure to watch it any time after episode 523.

Ty

Trust the mods they have it under control. They can’t watch what you are talking about for a long time

Nakos

Guys pls watch until 516 before doing the break! Thats the perfect point for the break

ChocoBoshi

Just so you're aware, they don't like knowing the exact episode that arcs or events end. I know you aren't the first to say this but I've mentioned it to all the people I've seen that comment telling them exactly when they should take their break.

Ty

If you look in the discord and check the pinned comment in the one piece chat you can see everything that was recommended by the mods. Movie 4 is on there but that does not mean they will watch it. It’s a list full of a ton of stuff and they are the ones who will pick what they want to watch

Cheddah Slammer

Don't they know when the arc ends already because they wouldn't be talking about their break here if they didn't know already. They even mentioned Post War arc in the beginning of this episode not something you would know if you didn't check the ends and beginnings of arcs.

Nakos

Oh ok, sry, didnt mean to annoy..

Cheddah Slammer

I think Carson's comment about Luffy unlocking gear 4th and beating the admirals was more of a comment because Luffy has been loosing all this time, in Sabody, in Impel down. Like you said this is a testament to Oda's writing. I just think Carson was just thinking that after Luffy failing this many times, he would unlock something that would allow him to fight the admirals because he's see it in other Shonen.

Matthew Gilroy

I can see that, if it weren't for Sabaody that kind of sets the tone🤷🏾‍♂️
