I'm watching this with ya'll! I'm normally not a horror/scary anime & manga person, but ya'll are giving me courage lol. As far as Yoshiki's and Hikaru's relationship, to me it reads as, Yoshiki had a one-sided crush on Hikaru. If Hikaru had any feelings for Yoshiki, I don't think he would have went to the mountains alone in the first place. Also, Hikaru mentioning "when you get a girlfriend" and "when I bring this up, you get all pissy", says alot as well. Yoshiki doesn't WANT a girlfriend..... 🙁 And then when he asked IT , "do you like me?" and it said yes, Yoshiki thought "he would have never said that".......Yeah, its unrequited, one-sided, queer, boys' love, BAY-BEH! (at least to me, hehe)

I can't watch scary stuff on my own but I really wanted to check out this series because the plot sounded very interesting and many people were hyping it up. That's why I'm glad you've picked it up, can watch it alongside you and not freak out so much lol. It's even better than I expected, mostly in terms of drawings and animation, framing and the scenes' design... All of it looks very thought through. Even the shadows, subtle details, backgrounds, metaphors and subtle analogies used, the storytelling going on in the background. So so good. I can't wait for more.
