Fabulous

Franky vs baby 5 was awesome

Fabulous

We lost a baddie

Sanji Joestar

Funny is definitely the word I would use for this episode. Monet/Vergo content aside I never noticed there was no credit scene/preview after it

idziman

Franky stocks never cease to make me laugh

Sanji Joestar

People in Mock Town not believing in Sky Islands shows how ignorant they were, but not just that how secluded too. They were ignorant, didn't extend to other knowledge and instead Mocked (pun intended) those who looked for the truth. Bellamy was the crystallization of that tunnel vision. Meanwhile winged people aren't that common, the only one we've met thus far is Urouge and Weatheria only interacts with people they can gain knowledge from or make exchanges with (selling rain) So no wonder it's not common knowledge.

Oshidi

Doflamingo sure is an interesting villain, and one of the most hyped.

Matthew Gilroy

Doffy controlled Sarquiss to force Bellamy to fight his friend as punishment for causing a blemish on the Donquixote Pirates when he got humiliated by Luffy. The Sky Island shit was a separate thematic device between Luffy, Bellamy, and Blackbeard. It had nothing to do with why Doflamingo was angry at Bellamy

Isaac Sato

Yeah, the situation with the hearts might be a little confusing in English, but it's much clearer in Japanese because each ability uses a different word for 'heart'. When Law removes someone's heart from their body, the heart-in-a-cube is always referred to as 'Shinzou' (心臓), the Japanese word for your literal heart, ie the physical organ in your chest that pumps blood. When he switches people's hearts to swap their personalities, it's 'Kokoro' (心) the word for your spiritual or emotional heart (ie, 'she's got a good heart'). In English, we use the same word for both, so it can be a little confusing (especially with everything else going on).

Matthew Gilroy

Basically we still don't know much about the man. Although he seemingly has empathy for his comrades despite ordering them to die. Underrated ep/moment, and Monet and Vergo are underrated characters

Sanji Joestar

Not exactly On one side Blackbeard is telling Luffy that the Sky Islands exist. While Luffy is doing everything to see the truth for hismelf. And Bellamy rejects those ideas altogether. Meanwhile Doflamingo shares that whether a city of gold or sky islands exist, it doesn't matter. Blackbeard says that people like Bellamy claim the era of dreams is over but ''People's dreams never die" While Doflamingo is focused on a different era to come. One ruled by the mighty and that's his focus.

Matthew Gilroy

I'm just explaining why Doflamingo got rid of Bellamy

Sanji Joestar

Well yes that's a thing, but it's still related to Doflamingo's reasonings and isn't a separate factor.

Sanji Joestar

We also saw Smoker's body with the missing hole in his chest for his physical heart. While he still received the spiritual heart of Tashigi then later his own spiritual heart was sent back in. Law too had his physical heart removed.

Szonin

Never thought about it, but makes sense that Monet is Pell's replacement.

Oussama Essamadi

So interesting how you can really sense some sadness in Doffy's voice while he was saying goodbye to Money and Vergo. Vergo's hit me the most, he didn't even have to reply, he just smiled and accepted his fate and everything that led his life up to that point.

Duffy the Nar Slayer

Great subversion of expectations. Doflamingo does seem to respect and care about his crew. And a great comparison in the discussion to Luffy and his crew. I think Oda said something similar in an interview about seeing the Doflamingo Pirates as essentially the evil Straw Hat Pirates.

Monkey D.offy Lucci

Baby 5 turning into Missile Girl reminds me of Torpedo Girl from Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo.

Erica Wilder Boulter

Doffy has always been incredibly interesting to me because people sometimes try to argue that Doffy saying he loves certain crew members like family is purely just a manipulation tactic to ensure loyalty and make sure they do what he asks them to do (and, on some level, it DEFINITELY is, sure) - but the moment with Vergo adds SUCH an unexpected layer to it? Vergo is completely useless to Doffy now, he's ABOUT to die, Doffy's not even asking him to do anything in his last moments for him like he is with Monet - but he still thanks him anyway and wants to give him some sort of comfort in his last moments. It adds a lot - it's really cool, honestly. I LOVE how Oda chose to write Doffy; making him incredibly ruthless and evil, but also giving him these weirdly humanizing moments every so often.

Isaac Sato

Yeah, we saw that but Carson was still confused at 8:30 because they're just saying 'heart'

Nicholas V

fingers crossed for double upload today

incinə

It means he was ready to eat up today’s upload but the fridge was empty so he closed it in disappointment 😟

Matthew Gilroy

"WHERE is One Piece?"🤔 "I'll do you one better, WHO is One Piece?"🤔🤔 "I'll do you one better, WHY is One Piece?"🤔🤔🤔

ChocoBoshi

Its always: When is One Piece? 🤔 and What is the One Piece? 😯 but never How is the One Piece? ✊️😔

testlunch

FoxfireEspresso

bobobo-bo bo-bobo is a fever dream. Every long while I'll see something that makes me remember a different and uniquely bizarre moment from it lol

Hey! Ik I posted earlier but I just wanted to check in to see if yall are alright. Worried about yall since we normally get a bit of an update when there’s a hiatus. Love yall and I hope yall are happy and healthy! Don’t worry about the content so long as yall are alright!

Ej Evangelista

Same man. Although like a year ago I remember them kinda not saying anything ( at least on Patreon idk about discord) sometimes for like a few days and then out of nowhere they would drop like 3-4 episodes at a time. Hopefully its something like that and nothing bad happened

Extra Crispy

A lot of punk hazard I did not like on my original watch that ultimately through these reactions I ended up liking. One of the things that I liked the whole way through was Monet. One of my favorite side villains of the whole series.

Camila

I think that while the strawhats might be willing to sacrifice themselves for Luffy or his dream, he would never ask that of them, and I believe that’s the main difference between their kind of loyalty and that shown here w Vergo, Monet and Doflamingo.

Artemis

This episode was awesome. I loved the Franky Vs Baby 5 and Buffalo fight. Another duo of characters with unusual characteristics makes their appearance. Every time I see a new drawn character in one piece, I just can't wait to see what kind of quirk they have. The women turning into a weapon looks so ridiculous from the outset but certainly interesting and want to see more of what she can do. The ending had some of the slowest suspenseful buildup I have ever seen in this series, but it was intentional for a reason because the events make you realize that everyone on punk hazard are going to get wiped out. I wonder if oda actually killed off some characters this time? That troll ending was crazy but very appropriate.
