It's about time we ran into a Devil Fruit in the wild, with everyone and their mom having powers you'd think it woulda happened way earlier and way more often. Speaking of, Oda has recently started revealing images of certain devil fruits from the story, basically all the eaten ones that we never got to see in person. There's a very clear difference in how he designs them now compared to how he drew them early on. The reveal for Ace's fruit here was kinda the start of that trend I think. Every part of it's design pretty much screams "you will now get flame powers".

I think the biggest thing to remember is there an encyclopedia of devil fruits so there has to be some pattern to it. But oda wants to keep it secret from us, so he can make the fruits he wants. Also kinemon has a fruit already. The garb garb fruit. :) he’d die as far as we know

Well unfortunately Kin'emon already has a devil fruit ability. It's an extremely forgettable ability so I see why it slipped your minds, but he has the power to generate clothes. He made some for half of the crew, the abducted kids, and even his son Momo. He also was weakened from his torso being underwater for a bit.

Back in Long Ring Long Land, Robin noticed an island but didn't say anything. She was still quite detached. So Luffy told her that's something very important and she should always tell them when she sees land. She excused herself and Luffy told her it's okay you can try again next time. (Usopp and him even gave examples on how to scream it but she ignored them😂) Her announcing it here just reminded me of that.

Btw guys “mi” is more vague of a category than just fruit. Chopper’s df is a mushroom for example. Kudamono I believe is more specifically fruit. But I’m going off of memory, someone can double check what “mi” exactly means that’s different from kudamono. Little thing that might not be important but I just wanted to say smth abt it :p

Finally starting the arc that I have long awaited for years. I am so upset that I missed this arc due to people talking so much hate around the pacing of the story at this time. But i learned from PH that it wasn't as bad as people made it out to be so im equally anticipating this arc.
