Bootyman555

ODEN WOULDNT BE ODEN IF IT WASNT BOILED !!!!!!! ✌️✌️✌️

100Rainy

It's interesting, at some point "Rio" Poneglyph became "Real" Poneglyph. Or maybe it was always "Real" all along, idk.

100Rainy

Honestly that's the first time I've heard anyone say "I'll wet myself" as a threat haha. Chopper's kinda wild sometimes lmao

cyberc33

I think the opposite Momo is one of the characters if you rewatch from punk hazard, you can clearly see where it was going

Drakojin

Zou is the lore piece island 💪 As for the road poneglyphs: my assumption is that it's not as simple as triangulation. Or there wouldn't be four. Otherwise Carson would be correct

Hanai

this was great!

Sanji Joestar

Yh the subs do that It's still Rio in Japanese tho

100Rainy

Ah okay that's good. I definitely prefer "Rio"

Sanji Joestar

3:50 tbf he had it written on the Gold next to the Poneglyph. As Rayleigh explained Roger couldn't read/write the ancient texts so he could only hear the ''voice of all things''.

Sanji Joestar

2:40 This part about Robin's dad might need more clarification now that we're further into the story. In the Ohara flashback, we learn that Robin's father is dead before Olvia leaves Ohara on a journey with 32 other scholars who were later executed by the Navy, all except her. She was freed by Vice admiral Saul, and chased by the Navy & CP9 to get Saul's location. In the anime the sub mentions her ''husband's unfinished work'', implying he died. In the English translation for the manga the text says ''to fulfill her husband's wishes''. In the official french, it says '' We'll fulfill what your husband couldn't... ''. Again implying he died. And the direct translation by the current English One Piece translator says: " If you're concerned about your daughter, stay here!! We'll finish your late husband's work... " Again declaring that he died, and timeline wise (28 years ago) this was before Roger found the last island (25 years ago) or got executed (24 years ago).

Sanji Joestar

Trust me the '' we only need 3'' observation/diagram drawing is almost a staple of One Piece reactions at this point I've seen it a lot😂😂 I think adding a third dimension to the whole thing with the world being round and how crazy islands can get in One Piece makes it impossible without a 4th coordinate.

Rene

While Carson is correct that you could technically find the island with just three road poneglyphs, the issue would be more like: - If the islands are very far appart the area we'd technically have to look at is huge - It is very hard to stay on any course on the GL, since there are no compasses - And you could always misinterpret which islands to connect, which could lead you to a wrong place in general :) SO finding raftel is hard on its own but wih just 3 locations is a needle in he haystack situation

Nazim Belaidi

no he wouldn't and he just admitted it in the video. you can't reach that unless you go to basically every island on the line. and that can take 100+ years

Sanji Joestar

11:57 remember he doesn't need to pretend to be a human anymore, he accepted being called a monster now. Also he still uses it, Punk Hazard for example when he was holding the door with Mocha, or FMI against Dosun. He uses it when he needs to be muscly (Heavy point)

Sanji Joestar

Also it's not necessarily pointing to 4 islands, it could be 4 random points on the sea

Drakojin

It depends on what information the road poneglyffs provide. If we assume the island is somewhere on an island between those points then you are right. If the information points to a crosscut between 3 arbitrary (described) lines outgoing from those points then it is possible. But yes generally you need 4. Maybe I explained it not good enough considering esl

Sanji Joestar

'' The last island, Where it might be, or might not be, The One piece! " I absolutely love that '' might NOT be " line That's Luffy to a T. He's excited to find out for himself even if it's not real/there. Very similar to Sanji's search of the All Blue too. Everyone tells him it's not real, while the world believes in the One Piece, they're both very elusive. And yet no one knows for sure. That's why it was so important (to me at least) that Luffy did not hear Whitebeard's last words " The One Piece does exist ! " even if the rest of the world does. Enjoy the journey and find for yourself along the way! Luffy doesn't want a boring adventure! Reminds me of the line from We Are. '' If we check it… then it’s not a legend! " / " It's only legendary until someone proves it real ".

Matthew Gilroy

Did Zoro become a mute or something? Shits funny af.😂 Not complaining

Sanji Joestar

The scene with Jack remembering the battle with the Navy and having cold sweats and nightmares about it is filler btw, the first parts of that scene just replayed the moment when he's lurking from Dressrosa's ending.

Matthew Gilroy

They pulled a game of thrones and cut off his tongue because his court jester type dialogue was so shit

ImZeaT

Yeah, as some other people in the comments pointed out, it's actually CRAZY watching Punk Hazard & Dressrosa again and seeing every dialogue from Momonosuke & Kin'emon through the "post-Zou" lens, with all the foreshadowings and all of the unexplained tidbits they would leave in certain conversations. Momo & Kin are definitely characters that were very much thoroughly planned before their introduction with those clear goals in mind!

Sanji Joestar

Can you talk about literally anything else ?

Matthew Gilroy

Yes. But sometimes no (JJK 3x4) You should message Oda and ask why the series talks about and develops literally everything but Zoro. Whole character writing based on "Cutting things" ain't going to "cut it" I'm afraid. Momonosuke >

Sanji Joestar

Same the spelling is similar to Roi in french which means King. And i like the idea of a ' King Poneglyph ' made from the others.

Sanji Joestar

...This is what happens when bias gets in the way of appreciating a character. The last few episodes gave us a very interesting look at Zoro's reaction to the Sanji situation, how he was frustrated with it, talked with said frustration and later still looked into Sanji's situation to make sure he knows what's actually happening. I even wrote a comment about it under episode 766's reaction. But because he 'just smiled' in this scene with Robin that means Oda's 'not developing' him. Sure... We all know Zoro's not the kind to show emotions out of nowhere. He quite literally had his chest opened before shedding tears. That doesn't make him undeveloped he's just very stoic, no crime in being like that. His smile here clearly shows he's on board with protecting Robin no matter the trouble. Enies Lobby showed that plenty in again a very minimalist moment of him resheating his sword as some form of oath when Robin said she wanted to live. That doesn't make him a bad character or undeveloped. Minimal and subtle doesn't equal bad. But what I'm saying won't really matter to you, cuz you'll just pick and choose to ignore his moments.

Rene

True, but the main point to me is that yes you would need 4 points to pinpoint a location! Just going to any specific point to the grandline is very hard without a logpose so imagine searching an area lmao :D

100Rainy

I know it's bit of a meme about One Piece fans claiming that Oda foreshadows every single thing ever, but there's no doubt that this is the path he always intended for Momo + Kin'emon and the others

Oussama Essamadi

The fouth poneglyph could always refer to a time variable or a hight (seabed/sky island) component. We are still speculating here.

Monkey D.offy Lucci

The problem with the 3 point theory is that without the 4th point you have no clue where along the 2 logically connected points is what you’re looking for. And we can’t be 100% sure we have the right 2 connections. Plus this is the grand line, you can’t look along the connections, especially if the points aren’t on an island or the like.

arvieadik

Where is 769 though?

JJ

No jjk stream then

Nicolas LeBlanc

Scroll down under the main page 2 items down, it is under Frieren.

arvieadik

Ohhh… yeah saw it 😆 thanks

Nicolas LeBlanc

I think Zou's padding is really good to keep the lore drops going and also do flashbacks about things that happened a decade ago in the anime.

RedFaulkner

That’s such a good question about Kaido actually. I’m essentially watching the show with you guys at this point so I love that you brought this up because it made me think. Theory: In Marineford, Whitebeard said finding the One Piece would embroil the whole world into a war within a day. Kaido was trying to start a war with Joker/Doflamingo but that plan failed. It would not be surprising to me if he heard Whitebeard or already knew about the possible war from finding the One Piece and has multiple plans to start a war big enough that could kill him.

Lūthér Hölâyèãhmé

We also don't know if the fourth point will be under the sea, on a sky island, or even space

edgard

If I remember correctly oda did have conversations with the author of game of thrones

Matthew Gilroy

Your overexplained thinkpiece has you arguing essentially just this: "Zoro is stoic and doesn't show emotion easily". Ok, cool. And? Am I supposed to be impressed?😂 You don't need you to twist Zoro's character writing Post-Timeskip into some obscure thinkpiece which actually highlights his barebones af character😂. Reality is that he's stoic (which was your thinkpiece argument) and has been cutting things for the past 250 episodes, of which him fighting Pica took up 50. Ok, so he's stoic, and he cuts things. Great character🙌🏾. You should reserve analysis for good writing and characters. Momonosuke >

Adam Vialpando

If you only have 3 ponegliffs you couldn't be sure which of them is supposed to connect. I highly doubt they make an exact perfect X. So you might think Island A connects to Island B and you just need to check in between them using Island C. But what if Island D is located between B and C. That would mean A & D are the ones supposed to have a line connecting them and you are looking in the completely wrong area.

Jeremy

Watching these two theorize is cinema

Wanbli Wakua

The coordinates could be anywhere in the world as long as where the X meets is still at the “end” of grand line.

Albanese

Isn't this technically a spoiler about his character or am I wrong?

Szonin

All my homies hate the Shogun!
