Its the end of the Whole Series and everyone will be fighting tooth and nail in the Final War, but as hope slowly flickers and fades away like a candle being extinguished by Gangster Gastino, suddenly at the appointed time of Dawn and at the top of the Mountain Lola the Pink arrives on her trusted Horse Shelly (cuts to small flashback of Shelly being attacked by Uruk-hai at start of the Arc, which got a big reaction out of everyone, because they thought she was dead, but she is miraculosuly all good now) Having fearlessly been bathed in Sunlight at Thriller Bark and coming out alive, Lola now wields sunbreak as her weapon in her Quest to save the World. With her is her aide Absalom and as they embark to ride down the Mountain and save the day they all shout:" For the King of the Pirates!"

Chekovs nuke to the rescue 😂. This episode was so great. We had the payoff of the tomate box, we had Sanjis siblings fighting the big mom pirates, we had gang bege megalomaniacal cackling. I love how consistent Oda is with Sanjis brothers not caring about anything. Usually authors are unable to pay off that kind of thing and they have unfeeling characters start to feel about stuff but in this case, nope. They are like “kill us or don’t, we truly don’t care.”

I think his greatest strength, personally, is the ability to heal himself while also puppeting thousands of people, and constricting a gigantic bird cage hard as diamonds, creating perfect identical clones who can also do everything he does, control his enemies, and also turn literally any non-sentient matter into waves of indestructible string, while also flying. I’d say his ability to do all of that at the same time is his biggest strength, personally 🤷

Good DF mastery. But look to Gear 4's performance against Doffy (taken out with a few named attacks) vs against Cracker. I really love the weakness of Doffy though, writing wise. It fits with his subtextual characterisation of being a "False God". I love "fraud" type characters if they're well-written and intentional. There are a couple sparing examples of these characters in the series, some old, some new. Oda loves writing them, and always cooks. But he only writes them at very specific points in the series, otherwise the kitchen would burn down from too much flames and sauce🔥 For Doflamingo, he's one of the most well-written and layered characters in the series, no doubt

You could say Big Mom is also a "fraud". But Oda cleverly reverses it here. It's a direct reaponse to Doffy. Big Mom is not a fraud in terms of POWER, but in terms of WILL. Luffy says it himself. "You say all these things about what you're GOING to do, but you haven't actually accomplished anything yet". Big Mom is stuck on her island, and isn't really doing anything. All she's doing is throwing tea parties. She wants to be King of the Pirates, but she's clearly no Gold Roger in terms of what she's ACTUALLY doing
