I LOVE JOJO

I remember how in the first episode you said that Yuru looks like Hawkeye and damn, he really is just like her, only with a bow and arrow instead of a firearm.

I LOVE JOJO

Speaking of the twins, I also like how Arakawa approached them from a completely different perspective, both in terms of their personalities and their relationships. Because unlike the Elric brothers, these two are ruthless... or at least Yuru, because Asa wasn't actually shown using her powers on ordinary people, only on the one being of the village created as her replacement. And Asa actually seems like a more gentle soul than her brother, and to be honest after this episode it really does seem like her brocon moments are actually meant to show her feelings of loneliness and despair to get a connection with her last remaining family, and I also think that her behavior could have been preserved from childhood when she looked at her brother through the bars and admired him. And by the way, the details related to their Tsugai. I like how they also reflect the parts and opposites of brother and sister. That episode, with how he divided Left and Right into barriers, really made me draw parallels. Asa really does resemble Right, with her more gentle and vocal personality. While Yuru resembles the cold and ruthless Left. And the same with Yin and Yang. Which represent a parallel to their roles as twins dividing day and night. Considering that they literally placed them in barriers opposite their time of day. And also that Yin and Yang always represent opposites. (Masculine and feminine, destruction and creation, day and night, etc.)

I LOVE JOJO

So, speaking of the Fullmetal Alchemist comparisons, that guy with the swords in the bushes. His outfit and weaponry remind me of King Bradley, especially the outfit he wore when he stormed Greed's lair. But his appearance reminds me of Kimblee, especially with those two locks of hair sprouting from his head. I'll be interested to see if we get a decent action scene with him. And Jin reminds me more and more of Roy, with his confident and precise use of his abilities and his ruthlessness. (Not to mention that from his first appearance, I simply saw him as a tired Roy in glasses.)
