Sanji Joestar

Back in Alabasta, when Smoker introduced Sea Prism Stone. He mentioned that it originates from a single place somewhere on the Grand Line. Now we know he was referring to Wano. The reason seastone bullet would be a bad idea is also that it's a precious material. Bullets get lost. That's why they make nets using Sea stone woven into it instead. That way they can reuse it. Seastone originating from here, Kaido's dealings become more important for the people outside.

Sanji Joestar

In the manga, Luffy didn't even have the time to use King Kong Gun. It was over in a double page. Kaido was just being pushed back by the attacks but no effect. Bro's a monster.

Sanji Joestar

The reddish aura around Luffy is kind of Toei experimenting how to show Haki/rage/power up with the new style.

That Ost 😩

ChocoBoshi

As Sanji said, in the manga its much more one-sided with Luffy not really landing any attacks and the final hit not even being a confrontation, but I really like the way it shows just how durable Kaido is here. Its one thing to be able to oneshot Luffy but its another thing to take all of his attacks and walk away without even a scratch. I love the way Kaido is built up here.

oh lordd.. luffy

It would be fun if yall react to this fight in the manga to see the difference if not now yall could that in the future

Zoodinger

The big fights are going to be even better from now on.

If I remember correctly, a comment was made during Punk Hazard before Law cut the mountain that he could only defeat Virgo if his haki were strong enough. This implies there is some (vague) limitation to Law's power

Capitano

I really like the powerscaling with Gear 4 (even tho the anime does kinda butcher this fight imo) that Oda does. The only two opponents he wasn't able to physically overpower with G4 are Big Mom and Kaido. Big Mom blocked a hit pretty casually; Kaido straight up tanked multiple hits just standing there.

You guys should check the manga chapter for this, the changes are pretty big, I was caught up with the manga when this episode came out and I remember there was a lot of discourse, the chapter is 923

Allain Gumapon

In Punk Hazard they mentioned how, originally, Law couldn't cut Vergo because his haki was too strong before Law trained his mastery over his devil fruit to finally cut Vergo at the end of the arc. So there has been a precedent of Haki being strong enough to just negate the effect of a devil fruit and while I believe that the Law of Punk Hazard is weaker than the Law of Wano, I don't think his mastery over his devil fruit is strong enough to bypass Kaido's haki to cut him in that moment.

KING OF THE BEASTS FOR A REASON🔥🔥🔥

I think there's a mismatch in audio and video, audio is coming first

Dizzt

This fight got a bit extended which make it looks like Kaido suffered more than he should have. Also, all the aura stuff is just toei trying to do everything more flashy and VFX heavy. That's how it's gonna be through the entire arc, but none of that it's in the manga.

100 ep left..

Oussama Essamadi

At the very least, I’m glad we’re past 914 and 915. And coincidentally, exactly 100 episodes away from perfection. Let’s go. Also Carson, be very careful of falling into the ZKK trap.

Coqnbauz

The stupid aura cloak on Luffy is back ech Also clarification: Eastern Dragons are able to control aspects of the weather (usually storms or wind)

ignorantWeed

Bro thats funny, but i hope peolple will keep quiet

Leighton

I know it’s not technically a spoiler but it really sucks when people set expectations for specific episodes. Just let them experience it organically

Miko

You guys gotta stop playing with Big K, we not playing little pirate games with mere warlords anymore. this is big Yonko country now

idziman

And Luffy didn't get sent flying into a wall, he lost to Kaido's speed and got basically clotheslined before he could even react. It shows that he's not just weaker than Kaido, but completely outclassed when it comes to a fight

beannie

Unrelated, but I highly recommend you guys check out Goodbye Lara! It's one of the many great animes airing this season, and I feel like you guys would enjoy it a lot, along with a couple of the other anime airing rn. I especially feel like Lindsay would love it!!

DefensiveOnion

Yessss a 1000x times to this. Goodbye Lara has been the suprise of the year so far to me. I expected Jaadugar and Ghost in the Shell to be awesome, but Goodbye Lara totally snuck up on me and makes me smile from ear to ear. Hope you check it out or at the very least the Opening, so you can get a feel for the vibes of the series ❤️

beannie

Agreed!! Great female characters as well❤️

Terrance Matthews

@BOLDcast the thing is in the manga, Kaido’s Thunder Bagua is a speedblitz technique that works similar in a way to Zoro’s Lion Song attack but instead of cutting force it’s blunt trauma

BABY SHAKED!

Abraham Lever

You guys overestimate Law and Brooks skills as swordsmen a lot.

Matthew Gilroy

Kaido is such a sad character to me. He just seems really depressed. Drinking all the time. Su*cidal obviously. And the legacy he's created has just been annoying for him. For example you have brats like Luffy that disrupt him by challenging him. But in the end it's just an annoyance for Kaido. It is not enjoyable for him to crush bugs. There is hardly anyone out there that will make him feel alive again.

Matthew Gilroy

"If it's a 1v1 always bet on Kaido". Imagine what kind of effect that has had on Kaido himself though over the years. It's deep stuff when you think about it.

Winzy

It's cute Carson thinks the whole Strawhat crew would stand a chance against Kaido. LOL.
