No worries, you remembered the Poneglyphs part correctly. The Poneglyph Big Mom has is different from the one that was in Fishman Island. Remember the Island doesn't become Big Mom's territory until the Timeskip. So the Road Poneglyph Roger copied from her has to be a different one.

That's also when she realized this means all the Poneglyphs are part of the Rio Poneglyphs and put together they tell the true story. So Roger took his part of the knowledge and guided it to where it belong, the final island. That was the conclusion Robin came to.

Really sorry if you've already read this comment in the previous video(i don't mean to spam)...but if you haven't. Here's a bit of clarification on some timeline details you might be a bit mixed on. General Timeline 39 years ago - Roger reaches Lodestar 38 years ago - God Valley Incident, Rocks Pirates disbanding 28 years ago - Olvia leaves to fulfill her dead husband's wish, can't be Roger. 27 years ago - Roger vs Shiki at Edd War 26 years ago - Roger vs Whitebeard, Oden joins Roger 25 years ago - Roger reaches the last island 24 years ago - Roger turns himself in and is executed, The Great Pirate Era begins 22 years ago - Destruction of Ohara When Olvia and her 'husband' were introduced/mentioned, the events did not line up with Robin being related to Roger. And this seems to be a talking point that comes every so often. In the Ohara flashback, we learn that Robin's father is dead before Olvia leaves Ohara on a journey with 32 other scholars who were later executed by the Navy, all except her. She was freed by Vice admiral Saul, and chased by the Navy & CP9 to get Saul's location. In the anime the sub mentions her ''husband's unfinished work'', implying he died. In the English translation for the manga the text says ''to fulfill her husband's wishes''. In the official french, it says '' We'll fulfill what your husband couldn't... ''. Again implying he died. And the direct translation by the current English One Piece translator says: " If you're concerned about your daughter, stay here!! We'll finish your late husband's work... " Again declaring that he died, and timeline wise (28 years ago) this was before Roger found the last island (25 years ago) or got executed (24 years ago). Also this might be a reach but Oda likely had the idea of who Roger's translator was back then, since he had to have written the message on the golden bell in Skypiea and reached the final island. And in Long Ring Long Land(ch310), a color spread shows Luffy wearing an armor very similar to the one he was wearing right before this flashback. That armor bearing the Kozuki Crest, Oda likely referencing that pose. Also notably there's an Ost that's been present since 2000 named ''Gold and Oden''.

Roger mentions he already has a rubbing of bigmoms road ponegliph which means one in the fishman island cannot be hers and oden says wano has one then cat and dog say their country has one, thats 3 out of 4, roger says he already knows where the fourth one is which is the one at fishman island, since from the context it’s easy to assume he has been there before and knows neptune. In current timeline we have 2/4, one from zou one from big mom, flashback confirms wano has one which straw hats not yet encountered. So that leaves out one. And thats the one at fishman island in the flashback that no longer there in current timeline.

The Road Poneglyphs were first introduced during the Zou arc, meaning Luffy didn't encounter one when he visited Fish-Man Island.

The poneglyph Jinbe brought to Big Mom was just a regular one, that he (in a cover story) found during his journey from Fish-Man Island to Totto Land, not this red one 3/4 red ones have not been moved between this flashback & our journey (Zou, Big Mom, Wano), while the Fish-Man Island one seems to have been stolen (before Luffy & the crew ever arrived there) and we do not know where it is

You really have to look at this as a microcosm of Oden and Roger's entire journey. The fast pace is definitely exaggerated just to give us a quick snapshot of what happened. In reality, if we actually followed the story from Gol D. Roger’s perspective, this could easily be its own massive series lasting another 500 or 1,000 episodes. Also there is a chance that oda will expand or flesh out important pieces of this history in the future.

Just imagine if Cutty Flam (Franky) had said "yes" and joined the Roger Pirates. His entire worldview would have shifted completely, and he would likely be remembered today as a legendary figure spoken of around campfires. I love how Oda includes subtle details like this to show how a single alternate choice could have completely reshaped the future of the entire story.

We don't know what happened to the Road Poneglyph on Fishman Island, only that it's not there anymore. It can't be the one in Big Mom's possession, because she already has one in the flashback and Roger already made a rubbing of it. Oden said Wano has one, and Kaido is in Wano so that's presumably the one in Kaido's possession. The Zou RP is obviously still hidden on Zou. Which means the Fishman Island one is the one which location is currently unknown (most probably).

I think Carson assumed it was the last time because Roger said "it might be the last time we meet" when Whitebeard arrived on the island. The scene with the sakura trees was hundreds of episodes ago after all, so it's easy to forget on your first watch/read.

What’s interesting about Roger’s journey compared to Luffy’s is that Roger effectively sailed the Grand Line twice. The first time, he followed the Log Pose all the way to Lodestar, the last island it can point to. There he learned that one more island still existed beyond it, Raftel, and that the Poneglyphs were the key to reaching it. He did not immediately redo the voyage. He spent years searching for someone who could read the stones, then made a second, rushed run of the Grand Line with Oden, this time hunting the Road Poneglyphs. Luffy’s journey started by following the Log Pose until Fish-Man Island. After that he stopped traveling in a straight Log Pose chain. His New World route was alliance-driven: Punk Hazard, Dressrosa, Zou, then Wano. Only through the Road Poneglyphs did he learn how to reach the last island, Raftel.

Also, you are not the only ones confused about this, especially us manga readers, we also confused Jimbei's poneglyph with the red one that Big Mom has, since manga has no colour. But yes, this is not Big Mom's Poneglyph and it was not there when we were there, so it has been moved since then and today, to where, who knows I guess we'll find out 🙃

The fishman island road poneglyph location is unknown which means someone probably moved it- Zou has one and it was stated there that Big mom and kaido (which oden says wano has one) each had one. The crew currently have Big moms rubbing and Zous, they don’t know where kaido’s is and the fourth is a mystery so 2/4 so far

Back in Skypiea, Robin was worried whether she would be able to accomplish her dream of learning the True History (a.k.a. completing the Rio/Real Poneglyph), since she would need to combine all the scattered 🟦 ones that contain *historical* information (there are also location types, etc. etc.) Roger's inscription however told her that he – who is known to have conquered/traversed the Grand Line multiple times (in the 13 years after he had reached, the penultimate island, Lodestar) – had already made the effort of guiding all the historical texts to the final island... which led her to theorize in ep194 that a good chunk of the Rio/Real Poneglyph already was there in Raftel (though she still would need to do her part, just like Roger)

Water 7, the city of water is a little bit better in Japanese and less redundant. They say ウォーター (uoataa) セフン (seven): 水の都 (mizu no miyako, capital of water) So for Japanese speakers they may not know that ウォーター is the same as 水 so would be a little more clearer why it is a question. Then to further compound this, it’s someone who has not explored the world. So what do you mean a water city.

funny little plot inconsistency, but when going to fish man island, toki remarks on how she hasn't seen it yet, while oden says he's already been here, but oden and toki joined whitebeards crew at the same time(unless whitebeard went from wano to fishman island and back up in less than the 3 days oden was doing the hangon to the chain test?). just a funny little messup by Toei.

To answer your poneglyph question, yes the road poneglyph was no longer in fishman island by the time we got there. It was not taken by jimbei to big mom. Jimbei sought out a different normal poneglyph to big mom (as part of a cover story)

Kaido has the one in Wano (which is odens road Poneglyph). Momodukedom already has a poneglyph. So we don’t know where the final one went that was in fishman island.

( with no spoilers ) Hopefully there aren't any watcher giving yall a hard time about that, I been keeping up with this story since I was in middle school. Im 24 now and have rewatch, re read, and watch countless reactions and I still might misremember some minor info. Roger only said something along the lines of "I will die soon, this MAY be the last time we can fight each other" when he met Whitebeard a couple of episodes ago. It was never definetively stated that this was the last time any of them met ;)

Not sure if someone addressed this yet, but in Marineford arc episode 45, Roger and Whitebeard exchanged Sake and talked about the will of D and Roger asked Whitebeard if he'd like to know how to get to Raftel. This was the same episode where Whitebeard said the One Piece was real. So yes, Roger and Whitebeard did end up meeting again before Roger died

The manga actually uses screen tone to differentiate the Road poneglyphs from the Normal ones. It is rather subtle though.

your guess on kaido stealing big mom's and then big mom stealing fishman islands ponegliff is not a bad guess, havent heard anyone postulate that before, but I think it's generally accepted that the ponegliff on fishman island is the current missing one.
