It may have been a mistake, however, to watch this right before seeing the sequ- no... rema- NO... new one, Twisters. Can Glen Powell pull off another Top Gun: Maverick?! Or will it just make us yearn for the old days when they'd build a whole town just to destroy it? Plot (via Wiki): In 1969, young Jo Harding (Alexa Vega) witnesses her father’s death during an F5 tornado on their Oklahoma farm. Twenty-seven years later, Jo (Helen Hunt) is a storm-chasing meteorologist with an estranged husband, Bill (Bill Paxton), who arrives with his fiancée Melissa (Jami Gertz) to get Jo's divorce signature. Jo shows Bill "Dorothy," a weather sensor device he designed. Rival chaser Jonas Miller (Cary Elwes) has a similar device, leading Bill to join Jo for a storm chase. As they pursue tornadoes, Jo's truck is destroyed, and Bill takes the lead. They visit Jo’s Aunt Meg (Lois Smith), where Melissa learns about Jo and Bill's past. A tornado damages their equipment, and Jo has an emotional breakdown. Bill comforts her, revealing lingering feelings overheard by Melissa. After a nocturnal F4 tornado hits, Melissa ends her relationship with Bill, urging him to reunite with Jo. A massive F5 tornado forms the next day. After failed attempts with Dorothy, Jonas is killed by the storm. Bill and Jo successfully deploy the last Dorothy, gather crucial data, and survive the tornado's core. The team celebrates, and Jo and Bill reconcile. This is an audio commentary ONLY.
