4th of July Forever

After watching the terrible Amazon series that was canceled after one season, Allison & I had to go back and watch the movie that started it all...

I Know What You Did Last Summer is about a bunch of hot people getting killed off one by one by a fisherman and that's basically the plot of every movie in the franchise. Featuring childhood crush Jennifer Love Hewitt, a good chunk of the Scooby Doo cast, and then a bunch of people nobody knows in a straight-to-DVD entry, this movie series is delicious 90's nonsense and we can't wait to see the sequel / reboot / whatever at the drive-in!

I’m currently watching the Amazon show along with you, and I had no idea how much I needed something this nuts in my life. Some of the biggest “How do you do, fellow kids” energy ever.

Krista

I was so in love with Jennifer love Hewitt growing up before I knew I also liked women and it’s so funny looking back now lol

DeAndre

I can’t tell if the title of this franchise is iconic or obnoxious I’m split

You, Allison, Derick and Alan are The Horniest Showmen

Dystopian Wolf Studios

Woah, Fred and Daphne from scooby doo, Sonya Blade from Mortal.Kombat, and one of the needs from big bag theory 🤯

Feel like you guys should probably know Jennifer Love Hewitt was 16 in this movie 💀

screamussy

Oh also the “WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR” has big Macaulay Culkin in home alone “IM NOT AFRAID ANYMORE” energy

Izana Geisler

Are we getting I still know what you did last summer today?! Omg, please!

Amal

The Helen chase scene is iconic! This was the first ever horror movie I watched as a kid, used to rent it from Blockbuster with my siblings all the time. Excited for I Still Know... the movie that taught me the capital of Brazil 😂

Juan Ortiz

Ooooo, this movie is a good ol' summer slasher classic! Can't wait to watch this, Eric! FUN FACT: The reason why Freddie Prinze Jr left the Hollywood scene for a while was because he took a job as a writer and a producer for WWE from 2008-2009 and returning for a while in 2010 which is interesting because I always forget that he's a big wrestling fan. LOL

Im not the biggest SLasher film fan, but this movie has to be one of my favorite horror films in general. Just a real fun time, and the campiness makes it 100% better. I know the writer who wrote this also wrote Scream, and this feels like a Scream, but less meta.

Cam'ron

Damn this movie really holds up! I need to get a rotation of horror/thriller movies for each holiday. Allison is really funny too, you guys play off each other really well.

Tsiania Davis

After a certain amount of “coincidences”, we must acknowledge that Eric simply is telepathic.

omg literally at 51:00 I said out loud to my fiance "the brunette's outfits are literally giving mandy moore in a walk to remember" and not 2 seconds later you said the exact same thing... we are SPOOKED

I love this movie! The backstory behind it, this was Kevin Williamson's passion project, he pitched this way before he wrote Scream, because he grew up reading the books. Problem was, studios at the time (late 80s - early 90s-ish) were losing interest in horror, this was the era of studios just pushing out hundreds of cheap sequels, because traditional horror was falling by the wayside for the more "erotic psychological thriller" genre (Fatal Attraction, Basic Instinct, etc.). Then Scream comes out, makes horror cool again, and studios finally say yes to IKWYDLS... only for it to get branded as "a Scream ripoff". But still happy this movie exists, I'll be watching it forever lol

I’m with Alison, the dead body in the water definitely looked like Tr*mp
