4th of July Forever

After watching the terrible Amazon series that was canceled after one season, Allison & I had to go back and watch the movie that started it all...

I Know What You Did Last Summer is about a bunch of hot people getting killed off one by one by a fisherman and that's basically the plot of every movie in the franchise. Featuring childhood crush Jennifer Love Hewitt, a good chunk of the Scooby Doo cast, and then a bunch of people nobody knows in a straight-to-DVD entry, this movie series is delicious 90's nonsense and we can't wait to see the sequel / reboot / whatever at the drive-in!

I immediately clocked it as being filmed in California, but was confused why they even bothered setting it in Colorado. And Broken Ridge was like a play on Breckenridge- but they couldn't get the rights!? Also, "Is she getting in a helicopter?!" was so damn funny looooool

I stopped watching Pretty Little Liars after the millionth A was revealed but one of the twists was Allison was still alive and one of the A’s was her twin brother who transitioned into a girl… so they kind of stuck to the books, but the show kept going so I truly don’t know. Wish I would’ve read the books instead tbh.

Out of the thousands of baffling decisions made in the making of this ”film”, the most absurd must be the fact that they chose to set this entry of the franchise featuring the killer called ”The fisherman” in the land-locked state of Colorado. Also, the zombiefied fisherman is not the skateboarder guy. It’s literally Ben Willis. The OG fisherman and the father of Benson, AKA Ben’s Son. Traveling from a grave in the Bahamas to the Rocky Mountains because some teenager tried to cosplay him without paying him his royalties. Maybe he hitched a ride with Holiday in the Sun-looking ahh.

I watched this track recently and OMG this was such a fun track!! Genuinely so many hilarious moments. Did yall notice that the movie poster has a random girl on it and not chuck wheeler? Also, I had to skip over the PLL stuff because I’m somehow unspoiled after all these years, but the girl who was in the band was in PLL!!!!
