After watching The Librarian trilogy, we found out there are like 40 episodes of a spinoff series begging for us to watch them. But instead of watching all 40, we're watching 8! That's right, Micah & I watched the first and last episode of all 4 seasons and did our best to keep track of the plot - with barely any help from previously on's!
The Librarians is somehow cheesier than the movies in the best way, including abysmal fight choreography and questionable acting. Using the powers of knowledge, thievery, and autism, our heroes must save the world from literature-based threats while also trying to keep Noah Wyle from stealing their own show from them. Good luck, Lindy!

ABOUT ERIC STRIFFLER
Since 2004, Eric has been creating various projects on the internet including movie/TV commentary series Pretty Much It and improv comedy series Pity Applause, as well as IRL projects including writing & directing the immersive theatre production Nyctophobia and producing the off-Broadway show The Life & Slimes of Marc Summers. He's also been living & traveling the country in a van since 2017.
Plot (via Wiki & ChatGPT):
The series follows four new recruits to The Library: Colonel Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn), of NATO’s Anti-Terrorist Unit, chosen as the new Guardian; Ezekiel Jones (John Harlan Kim), a master thief and hacker; Cassandra Cillian (Lindy Booth), a brilliant scientist with a touch of magic; and Jacob Stone (Christian Kane), a polymath with deep knowledge of art, history, and culture—as well as bar fighting. The three Librarian candidates received invitations at the same time as Flynn Carsen (Noah Wyle), the current Librarian, but missed their interviews. Their lives are soon threatened, and by the end of the second episode, the Library reissues their invitations.
Unlike the original films, which centered on a single Librarian, the show introduces a team approach, with Baird serving as Guardian to all four. With help from Jenkins/Galahad (John Larroquette), the immortal caretaker of the Library’s Annex, they solve mysteries, recover magical artifacts, battle supernatural threats, and grow as a team. In season one, they face the Serpent Brotherhood, led by the immortal Dulaque (Matt Frewer). Flynn, searching for the displaced main Library, appears occasionally.
Season two introduces fictional foes: Prospero (Richard Cox), from The Tempest, seeks to remake the world through magic, and Moriarty (David S. Lee), Sherlock Holmes’ nemesis, serves as a self-serving ally or enemy, depending on the moment.
In season three, Apep—the Egyptian God of Chaos—is released and tries to unleash pure evil. The Librarians work to stop him while being monitored by General Cynthia Rockwell (Vanessa Williams) of DOSA (Department of Statistical Anomalies).
Season four shifts to standalone episodes but weaves in three arcs: Flynn and Eve must bind themselves to the Library in a ceremony to maintain its human connection; Nicole Noone, Flynn’s first Guardian, returns with a mysterious past; and internal conflict brews over former Librarian Darrington Dare’s belief that only one Librarian should exist. All arcs conclude in the final episode.
