PLOT (via Wiki & ChatGPT)
A traveling rodeo sets up in a small California town, drawing both excitement and controversy. Among the riders is Colton Burtenshaw (Josh Swickard), a young cowboy devoted to the rodeo life. At the same time, town councilman Robert Peterson (Casper Van Dien) is leading efforts to ban the rodeo, condemning it as cruel and dangerous. His daughter Tracy Peterson (Lorynn York / Lauren Swickard), loyal to her father’s strict worldview, begins to see things differently when she meets Colton.
Tracy sneaks into the rodeo with her friends and is captivated by Colton’s performance. The two quickly form a connection, sharing horseback rides and quiet talks that reveal their dreams and values. While Colton represents freedom and tradition, Tracy is caught between her growing affection for him and her father’s expectations. Robert, enraged by their relationship, forbids her from seeing him and pressures his wife Patty Peterson (Christina Moore) to keep Tracy under control, though Patty is more sympathetic to her daughter’s feelings.
As Robert intensifies his campaign to outlaw the rodeo, Tracy finds herself questioning his father’s authority and standing up for her independence. She openly defies him, insisting that she is old enough to choose her own path. Colton, meanwhile, refuses to back down despite Robert’s threats, remaining steadfast in his respect for both Tracy and the rodeo. Their romance deepens even as the town grows divided over the issue.
The conflict comes to a head when Robert confronts Colton and brings the matter before a town meeting, where the rodeo’s defenders speak out. In the end, Colton competes one last time in the rodeo with Tracy by his side, proving both his skill and his devotion. Watching his daughter’s happiness and the community’s support, Robert finally begins to relent. Though still hesitant, he accepts Tracy’s love for Colton, allowing the couple to look ahead to a hopeful future together.
