Long before the fashion and the cute boys, Mary-Kate & Ashley starred in a little Christmas movie called To Grandmother's House We Go and boy are they adorable. I do have problems with this movie though right outta the gate: for a supposedly Christmas movie it's barely Christmas, and also it's not Grandma. You'll see what I mean...

To my memory this is the only one of these movies that is like a movie staring The Olsen twins rather than a Mary Kate and Ashley movie. Very excited to revisit I have been waiting for you guys to get to this one

speaking of mail theft my freshman year of college my roommate got really drunk and came home with a box of kylie jenner cosmetics that she stole from someones apartment that she walked by and i was like caroline this is a felony... and walked with her to put it back lmfao. kylie cosmetics used to ship in like bright pink boxes that said kylie on it so people could tell what brand the box was and they had to switch to plain brown boxes because of high rates of mail thelft lmfao

Jillian is spot-on with telling them apart btw - Ashley has pointy little elf ears and her eyes are closer together than Mary-Kate's. Also some added lore - I thought I was trippin during the diner scene, because MK's character (pigtails) randomly looked a lot like Ashley, so I looked it up...and it totally was Ashley! MK got hurt right before they filmed that scene and her eye was all wonky, so if you notice the shots where both of them are in the scene, their faces are in profile, so that MK's injured eye wasn't showing, but all the close-ups of each character are both Ashley. I guess it's convenient to have a biological stunt double, especially since kids are so accident prone. Kudos to Ash for learning 2 sets of lines that day!
