Hey Duffer 1! Yeah Duffer 2?

It's been three years and two Bonsignore babies since the end of season 4, and now the fifth and final season of Stranger Things is here to either blow our minds or make us wonder why we did this for a whole decade.

The gang's all here: Millie Jonny Bon Jovi, Sarah Connor, and of course... wait sorry, did Schnapp hit the gym??

Here's hoping for the best season yet, otherwise it's all Upside Downhill from here...

I mean narratively it makes a lot of sense that 8 is back because if Mama is Mama then she knew about 8 and that she’s out there running around with a bunch of goons. I think mama is is gonna be like a big reveal next volume that she was the third doctor with papa and uncle Paul Riser

Eric hit the nail on the head! The Duffers know Season 2 Episode 7 is their worst episode, and they've said multiple times they feel bad they didnt give that actress who plays kali/008 a better script or more time to really show what she can do. I'm a huge fan of season 2 and I'm actually so thrilled she's back. Personally I think that bottle episode in s2 is "fine", but is mostly weighed down by Kali's little group. I think without her gang, and putting her with our hawkins crew, Kali will become a much better character!! I'm also SO excited for eric to go and see the stage play! I've done so much research on it and I think it will play a big part in volume 2. A lot of the max stuff has been related to the play, like the rock cave system she'd hiding in that's Henry's worse memory, and the 50s flashback that had young joyce and young harrington in it! That's all Stranger Things: The First Shadow. I'd love to see a press pause of you explaining it all to Miles or something! CANT WAIT FOR VOL 2!!!

this is my 6th time rewatching it, 1st with you and I'm SO HAPPY that y'all were as excited as I was with all the revelations. I was spamming my friends screaming because of what was going on. And I can't believe we STILL HAVE TO WAIT!!! I'm so excited to watch the next.

Finn has said this press jungkit that when him and Gaten lived together they shared a lot of stranger things memes funny stuff online and just chilled and watched YouTube. I know it's so interesting to think that but I recently I was like wow yeah at the end of the day they're like early 20 something year olds who grew up online like a lot of us. I think Finn has probably (if anyone from the cast) because he has similar humor to you two.

What I love about Will's "power" is that, like a sorcerer, his main power is to siphon or draw magic, not cast it. This is hinted at with just his hand gesture, how it's palms up, rather than palms out facing like El. I assume he will only be able to use this when Vecna is like IN SIGHT, though, which I guess is all that matters.

also to answer your question on who built the tunnels (yes i'm watching it again, no i'm not crazy) the demodogs/mindflayer/will built the tunnels in season 2. will is drawing all the vines/tunnels in season 2 when hes possessed by the mindflayer. hopper was trapped in them for a bit which is why will drew the tunnels and bob had to triangulate where the "x marks the spot" of hopper is. also the kids and steve set the main hub of the tunnels on fire to distract all the demodogs so El could close the mama gate. they were filled with upside down stuff because of the mindflayer and gate being opened and since the big mama gate was closed, everything in the tunnels died which means they can now use them as a means to get around underground.

I showed my girlfriend the stranger things highlights before we watched season 5 vol. 1 and, I shit you not, we both screamed "HES SCHNAPPING" and "HE SCHNAPPED" at the end of this episode. I know it was probably cause we've adopted your jokes, but it was fun to hear you guys have the same reaction regardless. I've been waiting years to see you react to the return Kali (8) and the Schnappening; and it did not disappoint. It's a shotgun blast of twists and for a fan of these tracks it's the pay off to some long running bits I've been dying to see.

Don't get me wrong, I have a ton of issues with Stranger Things, but Will's moment in this episode is my favorite part of this season. It gives me chills and is so deserved for the character arc. I hate the agony the Duffer Brothers have put me through, but man, there are moments of pure joy and excitement in this show.
