My favorite thing about this show is seeing what a troll IT is. Its just doing it for the love of the game, man lol. What I've realized about andy muschiettis style and sensibilities is that he's very capable of using cgi effectively when he accepts that you have to like...DO something with the cgi creatures. Some of the scariest parts of this show are using the cgi for psychological torment, not simply showing you a decaying little guy that runs at the screen or whatever. And the weakest parts of this show and the movies are when a giant, long limb, cgi monster is chasing them. Or scurrying towards them (no idea why he seems convinced this is terrifying). His sensibilities are often like a fuckin emailer chain in 2005. Sending people a link where some rotting old lady flashes on the screen with a random scream... Oh no, better send this to 15 people or you'll die in 3 days! And when you look at his age, that actually makes perfect sense. He was in his 30s when that kind of thing was really taking off, and doesn't really seem to understand you have to do more than show someone a gross little image of a corpse or whatever, with a sudden, loud noise. Also, it's very fun to watch these children get tormented this season. Fuck them kids (no epstein)

im so happy you have come to terms with the cgi and it not being as scary and can still enjoy! i was a little nervous that it would be a bigger issue but im glad we're all just going to vibe! so happy you're enjoying it! i remember when i got to episode 3 i was like oh this show is made for eric so i hope you have the same reaction to it that i did! very excited!! one of my favorites of 2025!!!

The reason penny wise scares his victims is cause that’s what he gets sustenance from, otherwise when he eats the person it’s doesn’t actually fill him up. But he’s also an asshole so it’s fun for him too lol

“Why play with them? Why not just eat them before they get a chance to retaliate?” They dig into this a Little bit in the show but the book puts it really simply; the more scared you are the tastier you are to It. So as long as no one is there to help you, It will fuck with you for however long It can just to make you as scared as possible, hence as tasty as possible. Pennywise is just chefin 👨🏻‍🍳 🤡

I think this is way better than the movies. Works so well as a tv show. All of these kids are phenomenal !
