We're back in black (Mike)!

Now that Kevin & I are caught up on Andy Muschietti's IT movies, it's time to find out what the hell his little IT Welcome to Derry series is all about! What year does it take place? Is it full of more goofy CG monsters?? Is Pennywise even in this sh-

Paying for the watch us watch tier was worth it just to watch your brain short circuit when you realized dick hallorann is in the show

YOUR REACTION TO DICK HALLORANN WAS SO GOOD!!

lexi

my friend warned me about pregnancy horror in this but little did she know the pickle horror is my real trigger

jules

i'm not sure if you notice in later on in the tracks, but the actress playing marge (the girl with the glasses) played the young version of kirsten the little girl in station eleven! i was really blown away by her in that show so nice to see her in more stuff

Rich the BEST boy

Everyone will be talking about the dick hallorann reaction but real ones were waiting for the William Easton reaction

My favorite detail is think the credits name the big dude who threw the bomb, it’s like Stink Bomb Pete or smth

So glad you liked the Dick Halloran reveal. He and his actor Chris Chalk, are some of the best parts of the show. So in the It book, the events of the 1962 Pennywise attack are briefly mentioned, and Haloran is mentioned briefly as being there, but they don't go into the specifics, this is all a show elaboration.

Austin Arminio

Glad you like the stuff with (Black) Mike's dad. Yeah as great as i think the kid actors are in this seaosn, i was really invested in all of the adult storylines

the part about his damaged amygdala is because thats the part of your brain that creates the fear response SO - makes him a good option against a fear based power system monster more or less :)

“We searched his quarters and all we found were nickels” should not have made me laugh as hard as I did I need more sleep.

Idk if you’ve heard We Cry Together by Kendrick Lamar but that’s what I knew the Charlotte actress from prior to this. Incredible song.

Thomas Degroat

I totally agree that CGI monsters are not scary. I'm a baby for horror and I have not once been scared by any of the CGI stuff in either films or the series so far. I thought the naked old lady in Chapter Two and the pickle face (especially while it was in the jar) particularly bad and the creative control should have been ripped out of Muschietti's hands for those scenes. And why ruin the great scare of the dead kids being on the cereal boxes by having them badly CGI decay?

You need to watch the Fallout show definitely the best Video Game adaptation (I know its not saying a lot but its leagues better than Last Of Us) and from what I've heard it stands up no matter how into fallout you are, like I never even played the games until I watched the show and now I've played through half of them. It's incredible, one of the best opening scenes in any show ever. Oh and I also went to High School with the girl who plays Lily

Iconic zach stone references

joshvntura

the intro song has no right being so catchy

Harley Fonseca

A cute little thing I noticed: the girl who mentions her crush in Patty's clique is young Starlight from The Boys when she sings Britney Spears at that lil supes pageant lmao

Chris

I appreciated the Zach stone references in this. I was thinking the same thing when the grocery store scene came on.

Corey J. Rice

I was WAITING for you to come across William Easton. Your reaction didn't disappoint. I had the same reaction.

Amal

the John Hodgman reference got me good. Blast from the past cuz he was one of my fave Daily Show regulars
