To answer your question about ASL vs subtitles, from what I've heard in the past, hard of hearing people AND people who become deaf later in life much prefer subtitles because they can read them better than ASL (which they may not understand at all). However: "Just like English might be to you, American sign language is the only real language many deaf people have ever known. More importantly, American sign language has very little in common with written English. Most deaf people can read and write English. However, deaf people who grow up using American sign language, only learn English as a second language. (Similar to how a non-hearing impaired English speaker might learn French or German.) In effect, whenever pre-lingually deaf people (those born deaf) see closed captions, they are forced to switch from their mother tongue to a second language, where the fast pace of dialogue can see some things get lost in translation." source: languagers . com. So they use both in order to allow both communities to understand what's being said well and as easily as possible. I also have heard ASL interpreters communicate a lot more than just the literal meanings of words the person is saying, they also can imbue inflection, emphasis, etc, that a hearing person would pick up on but not someone relying on subtitles. I am not deaf so I hope what I am saying is accurate and helpful!

Since i know you've already seen this whole thing, I'm just gonna say now: i wholeheartedly want the next season to be a super stylised noir detective story. And I want them showing pennywise fucking with adults/the town overall more. I want it to be someone who shows up to derry and starts investigating the disappearing kids. The indigenous people said this cycle has been milder than the 35 and 08 ones so I expect some kinda craziness.

Virgin Eric: Cynically lists everything he believes with 100% certainty that Andy Muschietti is about to do in the scene Chad Andy: Does absolutely none of it

Kevin is great I would love to see ya'll go back to the 90's mini series after all of this

BewareTheGrayGhost

I love how Eric calls the Black Spot "Sinners Jr." throughout, and then the episode ends with the white antagonists showing up to ruin the night, one literally as a vampire! Spot on.

OH, also: Barbara is Andy's sister, not wife. Only commenting because I thought she was his wife for YEARS and was stunned to learn that, haha. You always hear about husband/wife, brother/brother, and sister/sister creative duos in Hollywood, but the brother/sister duo feels so rare.
