The same way Eric gets excited about seeing camera shadows is the same feeling I get when Eric asks a great question and the show immediately answers him, but he's missing the explanation lmao Eric: "Why can't someone take his place in the summer?" *Archie then immediately volunteers in his place* Those are the moments in my drinking game where I finish the drink hahaha

This episode made me, a grown woman, tear up both when I first watched it and rewatching it with you guys. This show was so so bad but I had a lot of fun loving and hating it! (ALSO everyone should've picked the S7 episode where Betty and Veronica make out for Eric's sake.)

Yeah Season 7 felt like a weird jab at 1) the idea that the 50s were idyllic, & 2) ppl who said that it should’ve always been in the 50s. It was not nearly as fun as the last season of this show should’ve been. Here’s my S7 recap- Jughead & Ethel work as a comics writing duo and the guidance counselor tries to shut down the comics company & institute his own code for comics. A bunch of very stupid Red Scare stuff that boils down to a serial killer dressed as a milkman working for a chemical company wanting to silence whistleblowers. Betty is hornier in this season than the other 6 put together + she writes a teen girl advice column. Also it turns out Ethel is her sister. Cheryl & Kevin re-discover their queerness but are forced to hide it (badly). Reggie faces racism when he arrives in Riverdale as a star player to improve the basketball team. The Black students w names (Toni, Clay, Tabitha) start a book club. Veronica BUYS the fuckin movie theater & runs it. I do think maybe every year y’all should watch another middle ep from each season, so you can see more fun ones
