Carocalossi (Patreon)

I believe this was the very first professional nude shot for Carocalossi. She'd shot some nude self portraiture before but that was it. 

It was one of those days where I just decided to do everything with available light from the get go.

Decisions like this force me to think in a different way and adapt the model and poses to whatever light is available. It also keeps me on my toes and it creates unique images as lighting varies from minute to minute.

The poster image (first one) where she is looking like a marble statue you can see a BTS timelapse video of here. Light is from two windows (one is in the frame) and one is next to me softening things up. 

I had to put a black foam core on the floor as there was too much reflected light bouncing off the floor. And on the right side I have another foam core flag to keep things clean and avoid reflections from that side.

Image 2+3 is almost the same light, 2 is just closer to the window and only one window  which creates a harder fall off. At the same time I moved her right shoulder and arm closer to the window and away from the light for even more contrast. On pic. 3 there is one more window open (or the drapes are off to be more exact) which creates more fill and the more interesting shadow that get to play a part in the composition.

Pic. 4 Is two windows from above, you can see how they reflect off the floor, and pic. 5 is just one of those windows after I placed Caro on a table to elevate and thus create a light that becomes more soft as the window is closer (right above the frame).

Pretty good result from half a days work with an inexperienced model!
