I had a great shoot with the wonderful Karomatilde a few days ago. Among other things, we created this beautiful portrait. More to follow in the Premium Tier.

If you wonder about the dreamy/creamy look it's a component of two things:

My Canon Dream lens 50mm f. 0.95 and the light source, which is a Hensel Fresnel Spot positioned as close to the model as possible while being out of the frame. I didn't use the flash on this, just the modeling light as I wanted to keep the aperture wide open, and thus the depth of field as narrow as possible.

I do like to play with bringing the light as close to the model as humanly possible.

I'm a bit undecided on the crop here, which do you prefer?

The crop is good, just enough space around the head and the elbow not cut off. The alternative might be to crop just for the face but this would probably better be done with a different framing in camera. What I would like to have in this picture is a bit more life in the eyes / expression. But I would assume that is just what you did not want - so a matter of style.
